The cabin was very cozy, hot tub light went out within the first two minutes but not a big deal! The host was quick to respond! The place inside and out was very clean!
Overall, the stay wasnât bad, bed wasnât that comfortable, coffee maker was really dirty and was unable to be used. The environment and the outdoors and quietness was fantastic though.
Enjoyed the stay very much. It was a great getaway. There was some dog hair on the couch from before but thatâs okay everything else was super clean!! Also the only thing Iâd say about the cabin is I wish there were places to store clothes and things that are brought. Other than that I LOVED this cabin! WiFi worked and was well needed for GPSing things before leaving. Perfect amount of space for 2 (:
This was was perfect for a quick get away weekend with my wife and our dogs for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The property was secluded and felt private, and all amenities were as described in the Property Details. I saw a handful of reviews from earlier this summer mentioning some refrigerator issues but it looks like the host had a new one put in, that has plenty of space. Everything was clean at arrival, and the hot tub was well maintained. One suggestion I would make to any visitors is to make sure you screenshot or print out Check In instructions/Booking Details. There wasn't any service, so we weren't able to access our email to get the WiFi info or door code. We made a phone call to our host and they were quick to answer and help get us set up, which was greatly appreciated. Once we were on the WiFi, we had no issues. Only other slight suggestion would be to either bring extra ice or ice cube trays to make ice, as the freezer doesn't had an ice maker (not a big deal at all).If you're looking for a private studio style cabin for a weekend getaway, this is definitely a great little spot.
The property wasnât hard to find .. It was nice and clean with the exception of one of the pillows was stained and the water smelled like metal and there was no light in the kitchen so if you need to cook something you have to do it during the daytime..And upon leaving there was a problem with locking the front door called customer booking was left on hold for 45 minutes then was hung up on and I stil have not received a call back or email..I also would like to suggest a House Journal for your Guest to write down their Experiences..
This was a fairly new small cabin in a prime location, about 15 minutes, or less, away from Logan, Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, and Conkle's Hollow. Everything was clean, including the hot tub. The grounds were very private and well-kept. There were short-comings in some amenities. There were no soup/cereal bowls. There were very few knives, forks, and spoons. There was an out-of-order refrigerator that stood unplugged and, in its stead, there was a college dorm room refrigerator that worked, but was not large enough to hold a gallon jug of milk without removing a shelf. The bathroom toilet paper was the quality of a gas station restroom- quite thin. The TV did not have cable TV, nor any local TV stations, which seemed odd, considering that there were 2 satellite dishes on the rear side of the cabin. The queen bed was comfortable, and the hot tub, which was on a side porch and under a roof, was great! All in all, we had a nice stay in a beautiful area with lots of nature.
The booking process on VRBO and communication with the property manager was seamless. We arrived early so I called to see if we could get an earlier check-in. The representative I spoke with was very friendly but unfortunately the cabin was not available early which was not a problem. We drove to the lake to kill time and had a picnic lunch. On our way to the cabin we encountered a tree and wires down in the road so we had to detour. Due to the tree down the cabin did not have power but we were still able to get inside and get settled. We thought it was really great that someone from Book Hocking drove up to let us and others staying nearby know about the power outage and that it would be restored that evening. We went out to dinner and the power was on when we returned. The pictures show an apartment size fridge but there was actually only a dorm size fridge. Thankfully I was able to still fit the food and drinks we brought with us. The cabin and hot tub were both clean and comfortable. Despite the minor issues we still had a wonderful stay!
Want to get away from all the noise and live in nature on a romantic getaway? This is the PERFECT location! Delightfully isolated, 360 degree nature views, designed for two, we'll be sure to return to this cabin again!
