Misleading
Posted Sep. 16, 2019 on HotelsInteresting place. Advertised as a guest house on some sites and Bed and Breakfast on others. Unfortunately when we arrived were told breakfast was not included - that seemed strange I booked the room on the pretence it served breakfast - being a "Guest House". I paid top price for this site when compared with other B & B's. Although they did end up supplying cereal for breakfast. But that is not good enough for the price. Also daily service was minimalist. After the fifth day of my stay, had to ask the proprietor for clean towels. Should never have to ask. All services should be updated daily. Overall not a bad accommodation. But too dear compared to the competition. Should changed the name to not include the word, "guest house" as this is misleading.

In response to your specific points:
It was unfortunate that you mistakenly booked "room only" thinking the optional breakfast was included. Increasingly, most of our guests only require accommodation so to separate these two elements of the booking means guests only pay for what they require.
As a gesture of good will I offered, and you accepted, complementary continental breakfast and I purchased your specific choice of cereals.
In line with standard industry environmental practice, towels are changed "on request". When you did request new towels these were provided.

The owner was really nice and welcoming and the property was clean and tidy. I had not stayed in the area before and there was a lot of information about local eateries which was greatly received. I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful home away from home!

Pros: Het was er heerlijk schoon en de kamer had een prima bed. Ook pluspunt er wordt zuinig met energie omgesprongen
Location: Prachtige omgeving... Chartwell (Woonplaats van Churchill) was zeer de moeite waard.
In Londen ben je zo met de trein.
Heerlijke B&B in een rustige buurt, gunstig gelegen nabij busstation met prima verbinding naar Londen.
In de omgeving is een overvloed aan mooie plekjes en bezienswaardigheden.
