Posted Feb. 11, 2024 on HotelsPros: The room was a bit bigger than I expected, I think I was given the standard double instead of the small double which was nice. The room was clean, the TV worked, there was a fridge, hairdryer and complimentary tea and coffee. The gentleman on reception was lovely.
Cons: the heating was on all night and the room was unbearably hot. There was no way of switching the radiator off so I had to open the window wide to let some fresh air in, unfortunately this meant putting up with the noise from heavy traffic and people outside because the room faces the main road.

Very friendly staff and polite.room was clean and comfy and for 1 night stay the price was very reasonable including our breakfast.

Arrived to our room, bed was broken - slats all falling out the bottom of the bed. Explained to the receptionist who explained it was fully booked so could not move us and to contact after our stay. Mattress was constantly falling through the bottom of the bed and was not comfy.

Firstly this property is more a hostel than a hotel. The hotel advert is very misleading because this property cannot even qualify for 1 star hotel rating. One of the beds in the room had a leg that was almost breaking off. The reception area had a strong urine stench which I assume is from the bed in the reception room. I was charged for breakfast but there isn't any onsite dinning facility. The restaurant I was booked for my breakfast was about 10min walk from the hostel and even though it was clean and the guy cooking and serving was super nice there wasn't even a menu and we just got served a very basic scrambled eggs and bacon breakfast. I was not informed that parking has to be reserved so I could not park at the property which was the only reason I had booked in that area. The only positive about this property is the friendly staff.
