Our stay at the Maldron was pleasant for the most part. Everything about the facilities is excellent. The area of town just didn’t feel safe. We didn't have any trouble. We dined in the area met kind vendors. However, we were aware of our surroundings and didn't go out after sunset.

the first room I was given had a funny smell but the front desk staff quickly gave me a new room that was perfect - quiet, comfortable, modern. Slept really well.

Poor Service and a Number of Issues.

Heating was not working in room told very indifferent member of reception staff next morning who asked the stupid question of whether I had tried turning temp up 🙄. Said they would have it looked at but lo and behold when I got back following evening still not fixed so another freezing cold night. Large window in my room was very badly cracked and general cleanliness leaved something to be desired, especially corridors. First and last stay for me at this one.
