GUEST INTERACTION

We are happy to provide you with as much or as little interaction as you desire. We can welcome you when you arrive and give you a tour of the home, or we can provide you with self check-in instructions so that you can let yourself in at your convenience (most people prefer this option).

We do require a copy of your ID and the CC used for payment upon booking. Please feel free to cover up all personal information and all but the last 4 digits of your CC. This is to protect our guests and us against fraudulent bookings.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

Please be mindful of the fact that this is a quiet residential neighborhood with many families and there is a strict noise ordinance imposed by the city.

While the home does accommodate up to 8 guests (with the additional sleeper sofa), it will more comfortably sleep 6.

The 3rd bedroom is a converted office space located on the ground floor, connected to the living area above by a spiral staircase. While it does not have a door it does provide privacy and comfort.

The house is secured by 3 external cameras - covering the garage, front door and back entrance.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Laurel Canyon is a mountainous neighborhood located in the Hollywood Hills. It is steeped in history with famous residents in the rock star days of the 60s and 70s having included Frank Zapa, Jim Morrison, John Mayall, The Eagles, Neil Young and many more. Today it is a very family-oriented Hollywood Hills neighborhood that is popular with many Los Angeles celebrities escaping the hustle and bustle for a more quiet and private slice of LA.

Laurel Canyon Boulevard is a main North/South route linking Hollywood, West Hollywood & Central LA with Studio City & The Valley. As the home sits on a quiet side street off of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, it is within easy driving distance to all of these Los Angeles areas.

Family trip

This home was fantastic for my family while we were visiting our extended family in LA. There were a ton of thoughtful touches that made it a great place to stay with our little ones. The garage is a bit snug so a compact car would be a plus but we were able to fit two small SUV’s with some careful maneuvering. Super quiet neighborhood. Close to a lot of awesome things to do and see.

Laurel Canyon Convenience

Our family enjoyed the convenient location of the house in beautiful Laurel Canyon while going out to various locations and attractions. Communication was easy and quick with the property manager. The garage was a plus and the backyard space peaceful.

Lovely Getaway!

Although an older home, this place was lovely! It had plenty of room for our group and made for the perfect HQ for our business trip.There were a few, small, things that need addressing. One, the house is just drafty and kind of cold. We simply turned the heater up. Two, the water pressure in the kitchen, the water dispenser, and the master bathroom were low. Not a big deal but should be addressed. Three, the shower drain in the master bath is very slow.It's an older home so we just dealt with these small issues. I do encourage the owner to address, at least, the water pressure and slow drain.None of this was enough to keep us from booking again in the future though

We visited LA for the first time and this was the perfect place to stay. It was very private and easy to get to and from. It was very close to everything we wanted to see and do in LA. The house was very nice, clean and set up perfectly for us. I would highly recommend staying here.

Cute cozy bungalow in beautiful and charming Laurel Canyon.

5 of us stayed in this house as our launching pad for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. It was perfect for our needs. We didn’t use the outdoor space much, but if we had spent more time there, we definitely would have. It was a great space. We would stay here again for sure.

Hidden gem!

Clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped home tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in the hills north of LA. Centrally located near popular attractions and in a safe area off the beaten path! This house was perfect for my work trip. I had to be in a lot of places and this was the perfect to middle. The house was clean. Easy check in. Comfortable beds. Great outdoor area. Garage was helpful. Would stay again.

Close in and quiet

Everyone was comfortable, the house was well equipped (garage is a huge bonus), the beds were comfortable. Having AC was nice but you won't need it-there aren't mosquitoes and the outside air was perfect. My only quibble would be that the owners really should upgrade the bed linens-these were "Amazon Basic" so, 100% polyester. Not great but an easy fix and one that definitely would line up better with the rest of what you're getting when you book this property.

The place needs work.

The house is in need of significant maintenance. One sliding door had a broken lock and couldn't be opened. Another closet door was broken too. The owner offered to have a worker come and fix it during our visit. Would have been nicer to have it taken care of before we arrived. The downstairs bedroom is only accessible via a tight spiral staircase, or by going outside. The back patio isn't a place I'd want to spend any time currently, needs some love. It's a decent house, but we were disappointed, especially for the price.
