Review 328 maple It’s not easy to write a bad review but I’m a bit tired of staying in places that need work but it never happens. So, I’m sorry to the owner. Nothing here is hard to fix but it needs to be fixed. Nothing is a deal breaker for a stay except the issue of not feeling secure- change the locks! First the positive-  owner was quick to respond.  Bed was comfortable.  Furniture was in good shape.  Place had been professionally cleaned. The negative might outweigh that but hoping the owner takes care of the issues First, as has been pointed out in other reviews – the door is on a key system rather than a code system. Which makes you feel a little vulnerable as anyone who’s previously stayed here could have a copy of the key and come in and there is no bolt on the inside to stop that from happening. Second, the place desperately needs to be painted. If I’m correct it’s fairly new and so I wonder if it was even painted when this owner took over. Three the baseboards in the shower room are disgusting perhaps rotting I don’t really know. And as far as the shower goes, the water was fine, but the wrapping of the handheld has come disengaged. Making the place feel poorly maintained, which is a theme.The owner is offsite, but has a property manager and a house cleaner. I did let them know the first two nights I was here that there  was a bad smell. How the housekeeper didn’t smell it remains a mystery. I was told the property manager would come in and check i
