Very well priced, refurbished classic building, good coffee (free) and very friendly staff. No one at front desk for late check in, you have to check in on line by taking a picture of both sides of your ID and filling out a bit of info and you receive a code to the front door and a code for your room. Room is what I would call industrial chic. Downtown LA there is not the most appealing place but there are good dining and shops nearby.

Hotel was perfect. Location was near all the things we wanted to do. Room was clean with a great view. Rooftop winebar and pool are a plus. Only downside is there is no parking like most of downtown. You will pay about $40 extra per day for your stay to park nearby, so be prepared for that. All in all, hotel provided a perfect getaway.

Check-in is pretty convenient with their system. The room is cozy with nice space for setting up my laptop. The location is great with close proximity to a lot of food places and general stores.

When tech takes over a property like the Ace, it's terrible. Want to check in 30 min early? That'll cost you $17 while every hour prior grows ever more expensive. You get what you pay for. Staff is lovely but the area has gotten incredibly run down post COVID. Go elsewhere or better yet don't stay in DTLA.

I didn’t like the room. It looked like a prison cell. I also didn’t like it when it was the Ace Hotel. I didn’t like having to send a picture of my license and other information to get a code. I didn’t like having to park in a paid lot because the hotel no longer had valet parking. The amenities in the room were less, making it seem even more like a prison cell.

Beautiful inside, great amenities, adorable studio style rooms, we loved our stay. Not quiet, not great parking but we just did the lot next to hotel so we could still see the car. Somehow still loved it despite those factors, will definitely stay here again whenever possible

This hotel is in a convenient location if you are going to the Orpheum for a show. There is public indoor parking across the street for $30. Unfortunately, we were on the 13th floor and the rooftop bar was located right above us. After our event, we came home at 12:30am. They have earplugs in the room next to the bed. (That should have been a hint) The DJ was hopping until 2am with our room vibrating with the base. When we called the help desk, they said they would ask security to tell them to tone it down. That didn't happen. I expect city noise, which can be drowned out with white noise. A strong base vibrating the room was on another level. (UNTIL 2AM!) Then when we got up at 0800, there was no hot water. I would not stay here again. We were also denied a late checkout and when I complained in the morning regarding the DJ base noise until 2am and no hot shower, we received a "so sorry".
