The property was very nice, and clean. The maid service for rooms was excellent. Food was good. However, the bar service was TERRIBLE!! We have stayed with RIU at multiple locations. The pool food and bar service at this location was not good.

Didn’t realize it was spring break. The first 2 days were fine, but after that it was crazy. We have been to the Santa Fe before, but this time the food was terrible. Staff was wonderful and the update on the resort was very nice. Overall we had a good time. It was really awesome that the bartenders would tell any adult over 30 or not in college to skip the bar line. They served us right away. Overall 7/10 would be higher if the food was better.

The Wi-Fi was terrible and when I went to let staff know, they didn’t do anything. It wasn’t until the last day they finally sent someone and the modem was broken. Everything was very clean and the food was good. But had to get staffs attention multiple times to get served drinks.

The staff were great! There is so many staff and they do a great job of keeping the resort clean and tidy. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The noise was hard to deal with. The younger kids partied all night, keeping us up until 3-4am a few nights. They ran down the hallways of the Villa we stayed in and slammed doors, knocked on other doors and ran away, and played music loudly all night. Food was good and the restaurants did not need reservations, we could eat at all of them each night if we wanted. There were various food options, completely different from the next, as well as a decent buffet restaurant. The beach area has vendors all over the place and the ocean near the resort is not for swimming due to the sever danger of undertow. This makes the resort pools even more important. The college kids take over the swim up bars so we had to stay at one of the quieter pools to avoid the party scene. There are multiple pools thankfully, but most are for the younger crowds. Make sure to do some excursions to break up the resort stay. Another nice touch was the room had a stocked mini fridge, with bottled water, soda and beers provided that are refilled every couple of days. There is also 'hard bar' bottles provided in the rooms. The rooms were nice, bed comfortable and the bathroom very nice with large showers and very hot water. The only negative to the room was the noise from others. Clean, safe, great staff and food, just don't count on sleeping much.

Food was great. Pools were amazing view service was off the charts. Only downside was no room service, but there was a 24 hour deli. Definitely gonna bring the whole family back next time.

My experience here was not so great, i guess because i went around spring break. It was extremely crowded at this resort during the duration of my stay. The resort itself is beautiful I must say and well kept. I stayed at the party side of the resort and at 2pm in the morning you can hear the college kids running and screaming.
