This extra large one bedroom home offers 2 living areas with 2 queen sized sleeper sofas. The updated kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances is fully functional for an intimate dinner party. Every room boasts its own flat screen TV. (65 inch in main living area). even the bathroom offers a TV for viewing.
The atmosphere at the home is very relaxed and calm, when setting up the place, I would catch myself sitting at the kitchen bar and staring at the water, mesmerized almost like in a trance. It was so peaceful, I never wanted to leave after being there for awhile.

Stunning Stay

Our stay at this beautiful river house in Louisville was nothing short of amazing! The location couldn’t have been more convenient — just a quick 20-minute drive to the exposition center, which made attending our event a breeze. Being so close to downtown also gave us the perfect opportunity to explore the city’s vibrant scene, while still having a peaceful retreat to come back to at the end of the day.The house itself was immaculate. Every room was spotless, and it was clear that great care went into maintaining the space. The furnishings were stylish and comfortable, and the large windows offered breathtaking views of the river. Waking up to the calm waters and enjoying coffee on the deck was a highlight of our trip. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night’s sleep.What truly set this experience apart was the owner’s hospitality. They were incredibly responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed and quickly answering any questions we had. Their knowledge of the area was invaluable — from recommending fantastic local restaurants to sharing hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on our own.Whether you’re in town for an event or simply looking for a relaxing getaway, this river house is the perfect choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I needed a break and this was the place. Loved the beautiful sunset over the river, the lapping of the water heard from the deck. The property manager paid a great deal of attention to the experience. I will consider it for one of my company retreats (a very small company!) in the future.

Overall good experience-

Had a very pleasant stay- wish the weather was better so I could enjoy the back deck and river view. Property was clean, well equipped, decorated and had nice areas to relax in. James is amazing as a property manager-can’t say enough about his speed of response, care for his guests and general hospitality!

Perfection

How can you improve on perfection. Loved this place and all the critters we saw including deer, something swimming in the river and the birds. Always something to see especially the barges in all different sizes and shapes. Everything was taken care of and it worked perfectly. Loved it! We will be back.

The unable to contact host trip

Me and my girlfriend stayed in a wonderful Vrbo that we have stayed in before with no problems. But on this trip the very first day the air went out and every attempt to contact the host failed. I text John on the Vrbo app. and on his office contact with no success. the temperature was over 100 degrees in the Vrbo for my five day stay.

Great little place

The place was wonderful. Very convenient to the city and highways. Gorgeous view of the river and downtown Louisville. The only issue is it's right off a relatively busy road with a 45mph limit so if you're a light sleeper it might be a problem. If we come back to Louisville we will definitely stay here again!

Location & View!

We loved our stay at the River's Edge Oasis. It was private, quiet, safe, spacious and had an incredible view (the entire back side of the house was glass) of the river with Downtown Louisville in the distance. The decor was outstanding and all of the little touches (numerous!) to make us comfortable were so appreciated. We were a short drive to all of the attractions we sought in Louisville and to the local grocery store. The neighborhood is stunning - we enjoyed driving around and through neighborhoods of beautiful homes and endless fences. Don't hesitate to book this gem!!

Lovely views, close to everything

This was a very well-appointed home along the river. It was a very short drive to restaurants, nature trails, and the pedestrian bridge area. Road noise was present, but didn’t bother us. The entrance to the home faced the river, which was a bit confusing, but we figured it out. Our kids appreciated each having their own sofa beds in the main room. We weren’t our usual communicative selves, but the hosts were very communicative and responsive. After another VRBO bailed on us this was the find that saved our weekend. Would book again. Thank you!

Love this relaxing and well appointed rental. Great location that’s close to dining and located directly on the Ohio River. Amazing sunset views plus it’s always fun to watch the river traffic - barges, the Captains Quarters dinner boat, the Belle of Louisville and more. We are repeat guests and as usual, Rivers Edge did not disappoint.

Relaxing

We really enjoyed sitting on deck eating our meals taking in all that the river has to offer. Inside was very pleasant also with full views of the river. The only glitch was losing electricity due to a storm of course over which no one had control. James was very helpful under the circumstances by bringing us flashlights and some battery operated lights. He even offered to move us to another location but we liked it so much there that we chose to stay.

What a view!!!
