Updated and spacious room overlooking the bay. Attached restaurant had delicious food, large lobster dinners. Property had a common room available to do your own cooking. Area also included sofas, multiple tables, amenities. Staff in office, restaurant, housekeeping extremely friendly. Convenient area to drive to Campobello Island, New Brunswick or take a sightseeing boat ride to see whales, porpoises, eagles, etc. Highly recommend this Inn.
We traveled from Houlton, Maine and stopped in Calais, Eastport and stayed the night in Lubec. The room had a nice view of the sunset. It was clean. The shared kitchen had free coffee and the attached restaurant food was fair but very slow service. It took our food 50 minutes to arrive after ordering. A few more food options in town about a 10 minute walk away. If you want to see the first sunrise in the US you need to stay in town. We visited Campobello the next day, it was 10 minutes away and worth the visit.
Love the Inn on the Wharf. We've been coming here for years. Love being able to have a nice meal at the restaurant, and being able to walk around the lovely town of Lubec. The accommodations all vary from the original rooms to the rooms on the hill. We love sitting out on the deck and enjoying the breathtaking, ever changing view of the ocean. Highly recommend.
This is a quirky and fun hotel located in a former Sardine Factory. Because it was a factory the layout is quirky but the Hosts are great and the views are gorgeous so one wants to stay in one's room all day just looking out at the sun rise through sun set over the water.
Room was more than expected.100+ years ago the building was where sardines were proceeded. Sun set was awesome, with the company of a Sea Lyon just off our balcony, who also joined us for breakfast. Quiet little town with good freindly people. Im sure we will head back again some day.
The property location and view of the Fundy Bay is spectacular. It was probably the highlight of our New England Coast trip. The property was nice and clean, the bed was just ok. It would be nice if they updated the mattresses. The hotel is nice and close to the downtown area. We had a decent breakfast at the properties restaurant before checking out.
The hotel is under new management and they were having computer problems, mixing up reservations. Hopefully it will be straightened out soon. The rooms are narrow and not exactly on a wharf, though the restaurant is. The food was good.
The view was incredible. Service was good, I would suggest someone cleaning the bathrooms better - the grout was gross and mold was starting on the ceiling over the shower. add an end table by the couch.
Our room, though spacious, did not have a refrigerator or microwave, coffee maker or iron/ironing board. Great beds & very clean, good food at restaurant and great views.
We reached Lubec at 8:30; All restaurants close early in this coastal town. Inn At the Wharf - made a salad for us even though the restaurant is closed.
The staff is friendly and the views are amazing. Try to be there for the sunset and sunrise. Eastern most tip (West Quoddy Head Lighthouse is 3.5 miles away from this hotel.
