Good stay.

Really lovely hotel with alot of facilities and opportunities for families to enjoy their stay. Breakfast and the bar areas were clean and well organised. My only disappointment was that although the room had obviously been given the once over and beds changed, there was food litter left in the wardrobe that had not been removed.

We stayed for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. Firstly we cannot fault the staff at all, every member of staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a family room with our two young children and the room was not worth the money we paid, it was very dated and the bathroom needed a good clean as when we used the shower head lots of black mould came off the hose. The main reason for our terrible stay is the 2 nights of horrendous noise meaning that we got very little sleep. Noise carries so much throughout the hotel, doors banging constantly, kids incessantly running around the corridors until well after midnight screaming with no parents in sight and an extremely disruptive family playing excessively loud music, screaming, swearing and shouting until after 1am. The hotel staff did quickly address the disruption with the family in question when we called them but unfortunately the experience we had means that we wouldn't want to go back. It was a lot of money to pay for two absolutely rubbish nights sleep!

Great time!

In a great spot. Grandchildren loved it - especially the children’s disco! Activities in kids zone could be better - kids made 1 suncatcher that took 10 minutes but were then left to their own devices for the remaining 50 minutes (colouring or playing with games/toys) though the staff were lovely. Room clean, and fab sea view. Breakfast really good! As with most hotels feel a bit short changed when staying for one night and checking in at 3pm but having to leave at 11am. They do let you use the facilities (from 1pm I think) so that took the sting out of the tail! All in all had great time!

A very happy experience

We stayed at the Dalmeny for 1 night with two grandchildren. On arrival we were given a room upgrade with sea view which was amazing. We had an a fabulous time and the children were kept busy the whole time. From arts and crafts swimming in the pool and making fruit kebabs (their favourite activity) especially when melted chocolate was added. The food in the restaurant was very good and all the staff throughout the hotel were helpful, friendly and great with the children. We'll be back for a longer stay next time.
