Blue Boat Cottage, Sutton on Sea - beautiful, dog friendly, cosy cottage

Completely refurbished and opened in August 2022, this beautiful bungalow sleeps 4 people (plus baby/small child) and is dog friendly. It is a 5 minute walk from the high street and 10 minute walk from the Blue Flag beach.

It has an open plan kitchen/lounge/diner, comprising an entrance area with space for coat and shoe storage, a fully equipped kitchen with large breakfast bar and integrated appliances including: fridge/freezer, induction hob, oven and microwave. The seating area has a sofa, two arm chairs and a wall mounted 55" smart TV.

Moving through to the back of the property there is a dressing area with plenty of drawers and hanging space for clothes with good lighting a large mirror and hair dryer. A utility cupboard houses a washing machine.

The shower room offers a large sink, toilet and large walk in power shower.

The two tranquil bedrooms overlook the garden. One is king sized and the second a twin room with 2 single beds, both rooms have drawers and peg rails for storage and wall mounted 32" smart TVs.

Outside to the side and rear of the property there is a private, enclosed gravelled garden with two patio areas and plenty of seating and lighting. To the front is a grassed area with a boat feature. There is parking for two cars available on the private driveway to the front of the property.

This property has the use of a beach hut on Sutton on Sea's central promenade in return for a donation to The Marfan Trust. Please enquire about availability when booking.

All towels and bed linen are provided for your stay. A high chair, travel cot and blow up single mattress are available for use on request.

Please note that the charging of electric vehicles is not permitted at the property. However, there are charging points in the centre of the town at Marine Avenue Car Park.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this lovely bungalow. Just myself and my mum and our 2 poodles. Very well equipped and comfortable and the dogs loved the garden. Short walk to the village and beach and we made use of the lovely beach hut for one day albeit chilly the sun was shinning and the little balcony at rear of the beach hut kept you out of the chill and we had a picnic and relaxed. We really hope to visit again. Thank you.

Lovely Stay

Lovely property everything you need, very clean and accomodating. Lesley very welcoming and great welcome pack on arival milk,biscuits,plum loaf and dig treats to name a few bits. Very dog friendly good enclosed garden for them, and only a short walk away from the long sandy beach which the dogs and us enjoyed walking. Shops and eateries not far from bungalow. Loved our weekend away.

A wonderful place to stay

The accommodation is light, airy, modern and just right for a sea-side stay. Everything is really clean - it's immaculate. There's everything you could need whether for cooking, games, watching TV (in both bedrooms as well as lounge area), plenty of storage space, lovely bathroom (with a large shower that you can move about in!), comfy beds. The welcome basket was a treat and the owner is very welcoming and helpful. A beautiful and comfortable place to come back to and enjoy after days out and we recommend it without any reservation.

Booking via Verbo was very easy and communication with the host was faultless. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with a lovely welcome pack. The accommodation was peaceful and quiet and in a lovely friendly neighbourhood. The bed was so comfortable! We wanted to relax and unwind and that is exactly what we did. What a little gem.... lovely stay, great location to high street and beach. We love the beach and the surrounding walks. Will definately return. Beautiful property, very relaxing

My husband and I, sister and brother in law and our 1 year old shepherd have just returned from this beautiful property. Lesley the owner, really has thought of everything and it was like being home from home. We were made to feel really welcome, communication was great and the property was spotless. Very short walk to the beach where you can find nice places to eat and no trouble having a dog in tow as very dog friendly. Excellent modern property

We rented this property for a long weekend in November. We took our puppy with us. Lesley met us at the property for check in and explained where everything was. Blue boat cottage has everything you could need including a washing machine and an enclosed secure back garden with garden furniture. Lesley also left us a lovely welcome basket which included treats for our puppy. The place was spotless and Lesley was very welcoming. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and supermarket. We will definitely be booking here again.

A perfect home from home

We have an annual mum and daughters, plus dogs, getaway every year, but usually in the Spring, so choosing Norfolk in November, would be a little different, but this time we had my 4 year old granddaughter with us. I chose this particular stay as we wanted somewhere that wasn't too far from anything, but also being near to a beach, which is great for dogs and kids, regardless of the weather and that is exactly what we got. Blue Boat cottage itself was the perfect place to stay. Cosy and clean and with everything we could have asked for and more. The garden being mostly paving and pebbles was ideal having a dog along with us and I can imaging sitting outdoors, in the better weather, with a few drinks. Lesley, the owner, was so welcoming and communicated well in advance of our stay, especially when I needed a few changes made to the booking, like adding a child and a dog etc. A lovely touch on arrival was to find a basket, with dog treats, crisps, bread and biscuits as well as a bottle of milk in the fridge. This was a pleasant surprise as we were all ready for a cuppa when we arrived after a four hour journey, and we didn't have to nip to the shop first. Everything is so nearby, a big CoOp that sells everything and then some lovely little shops, cafe's, takeaways etc along the way to the beach which was only a 10 minute walk. We are already planning to return next Spring/Summer and I would highly recommend to anyone, as it suits all ages, including four legged friends
