The front desk staff was very friendly and spoke English, as we do not speak Spanish. The check in process was quick and easy. The location was convenient, just a short walk to the bus stop for Machu Picchu and the local artisan market. Be aware, when looking at Google maps it shows that the train station is just a few steps away from the hotel, which is why I booked it. This is correct, however there is a tall fence blocking you from accessing the train station from immediately by the hotel. You have to go on a short walk through the local market and around to get into the station. Not bad, just wasn’t as close as I thought when looking at the map.
Nice place, their services are adapted to the tours timing and schedules around.

Excellent for what is needed in your way to Machu Picchu. It’s super clean and the staff are great. Breakfast served from 4:30 to accommodate the early start up the mountain.
Mary was really friendly and helpful. They provided some recommendation for the surrounded restaurants, place to visit. Christophe did offer the pick up service and even made some accommodations to the Machu Picchu ticket office.
They provide breakfast early morning for people ready to hike, new renovation modern design hotel and really close to the train station.
Good, warm room. Good shower and nice cosy feel. As other said, the walls are thin so you can hear noise (this is an issue in Peru in general in my opinion) but the bed was comfy, the breakfast was good and the location is great. The staff were also nice to me and my family. Would recommend.
It is what it is with this hotel. Sadly Aguas Calientes does not really offer any options beyond luxury and basic.
The hotel does its job for a night, but as with almost all hotels in the area it’s just OK. There is basically 0 sound proofing to either the street or the staircase. A few times we have been woken up by people having loud conversations (past 11PM) on the street or on the stairs.
Good location. Cozy, clean and new room in warm style deco. A very friendly, helpful and responsible owner hosting the hotel. Hot breakfast serving in extreme hours was a surprised! Exceed value for money.
Lots of street noise due to weekend Festival but otherwise would have been just perfect. even have a shower room rental so you can leave your luggage at the desk after checkout and still get cleaned up prior to your afternoon or evening train.
