Itâs not a 4 star hotel. Itâs an affordable, comfortable and clean pit-stop before or after the climb to MP. My 3 kids and husband slept comfortably.
Beautiful location at the top of a busy street of restaurants and shops. Lots of steps, but close to the Hot Springs and gorgeous views from our window. The room itself was clean and big enough to fit my family of 5. Very happy with our choice.
Wilson was great - he picked us up from the train station and walked us back. This hotel is at the quiet edge of town overlooking this lovely gushing mountain stream. The entry to hot springs are right next doors. The room was nice for us 5, the bathroom not as much. No warm water and this was in winter. So all in all a functional place, friendly staff and quiet. Recommended.
Best place to stay in Aguas Calientes! The hotel was close to the hot spring, and all the way down are all the restaurants and markets. And if you are traveling with a family of 5, the room had 3 twin beds and 1 queen side bed.
E um hostel bem simples localizado no final da rua principal portanto pra chegar la prepare-se uma grande subida a 2800m d altitude. O pessoal do hotel e muito atencioso mas so indico para viagens sozinhas ou duplas
This is listed as a hostel, but it is more like a cozy hotel. I was traveling with a group of 12 people and we stayed here 2 nights, it was more than just adequate. The rooms were spacious and comfy, nice beds and mostly clean bathrooms (we had a spider in one of the showers that was not welcome :)
The breakfast was amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is at the top of the town so if you hate walking a very short distance, don't stay here...however, if you want to stay away from the noise of the trains, buses, and crowds then DO stay here.
Recommended and would stay here again!
Clean. Lots of hot water. Comfortable beds. Provided electric heaters at night. Met us at the train station on arrival for free. Provided bagged breakfast because we left before breakfast started to head out to MP. Staff is very kind, friendly, and helpful. WiFi worked everywhere. It is a bit of a walk uphill from Train station.
Bed had stains asked to switche our they said ok but did not got bothered when I asked again mole everywhere bathroom curtain was very very nasty felt unwanted To sum it up I would say customer service was rude
One of the best hostels we've started at in Peru. Room 206 has 4 beds with a dozen windows, gorgeous views and a private bath with plenty of hot water. As typical the rooms are cool at night but the blankets are plenty warm. The river provides a constant white noise at night so you don't wake up to other people leaving earlier or buses honking, trains whistling, etc.
Maybe adequate in the summers but freezing in the winter. Breakfast was of lower quality in a room with no heat with ice cold scrambled eggs. Bathroom got flooded after every shower. The staff, if present, was not friendly nor helpful, insisted that I must pay in advance.
Everything fine, except that we were told breakfast started at 5am. We wanted b-fast and wanted to store our bags so we could get on the early buses to MP. 0500 came and went, and there was no one there; we eventually had to wake up the manager to store our bags and we bought breakfast elsewhere. No big deal except the only reason we stayed in Aguas Calientes was to get an early start, and this interfered with our day.
