Baby/Toddler & Pet Friendly Lake Home with Neighborhood Beach & Boat Ramp Access

We welcome your family to join us at The Russell Retreat, located in Lake Gaston Estates. We want to provide the perfect getaway for younger families, including your furry members. However, no need to be a family to stay! Many of our guests are couples looking to get away.

Home Details:
-The home is approximately 1000 square ft featuring an open kitchen/family room floor plan.
-The master bedroom has a queen bed with an attached bathroom with tiled shower.
-The nursery contains a crib, a dresser, a changing pad, and a nursing chair. You will find a twin air mattress, toddler cot, and high chair available to use in the closet. We also provide a few toys and books. We know traveling with a young child can be tough! If you are a guest traveling with young children, please inquire about additional items if needed.
-The additional guest room has a queen bed.
-A hall bath with shower/tub.
-There is a separate laundry room, small pantry, and a door to the back yard.
-In the backyard, you will find a wooden gazebo, fire pit and fenced back yard for your pets to roam. However, you'll have a difficult time choosing the backyard over the 18'x12' screened in porch at the front. Both are perfect outside spaces to enjoy your family lake vacation. The community provides a beach, private boat ramp, day docks, and waterfront playground.

Whether it's boating on the lake, reading on the porch, s'mores around the campfire, or a picnic on the beach, your family is sure to make lasting memories. We welcome your family to stay in our family's home away from home and experience the beauty and fun of Lake Gaston.

Is this home pet friendly? How many?
-Yes! We are pet friendly. We have a listed capacity of 2, but please reach out to inquire about additional animals.

Can you see the lake?
-Unfortunately not. However, the neighborhood has multiple access locations including a beach, playground, day docks, and a boat ramp all within a 5 minute walk or 2 minute drive.

Can I bring a boat?
-Yes, the driveway has plenty of parking and allows for pulling through a boat trailer.

What is provided?
-We provide most items you would need for renting a house and not needing to bring extra. We want to make it as easy to travel as possible. Laundry items, certain cooking spices and oils, cooking equipment and tools, dish/trash supplies, toilet paper and paper towels, coffee pods, bed linens, and bath and beach towels. However, we do not provide any personal hygiene or grooming products beyond hand soap. We allot a certain amount of these items based on rental duration.

What is the "host fee"?
That is actually the cleaning fee. Our cleaners take great care of our home, so that fee goes 100% to them and we make up the difference for each rental. If you are bringing pets, you may also see that fee listed.
