Breakfast selection is good. Laundry only cost 8 euro per bag. Location is close to restaurant and many sightseeing places. Definitely a good choice for family trip.

I left some jewelry on the night stand and they refused to help. Told me I had to set up pickup and shipment and I have no idea how to. When I looked into I couldn’t figure it out!! Must be a great way for them to keep a lot of people’s belongings. For paying 500€ to stay here you’d think they’d be more helpful.

Hostal Abadia is a nice place. It was pretty clean and tidy. The room was a bit small. The breakfast served at the site was awesome. The add-on for it via Expedia was really cheap and well worth it. The place can get pretty loud on Fridays and Saturdays since it's located off a narrow street! On the bright side, the shower pressure is amazing 👍👍! The room's got double-panes windows, a roll-down metal panel, and balcony windows, I wouldn't want to stay during the summer, of course the room has AC.

Is a Hostal not a Hotel

The condition of the hostal is fair to poor. Very basic everything (towels, pillows, soap, sheets, etc). It really noisy outside and inside.

This hotel is a great option for budget minded travelers. The location is within walking distance to many major attractions and even Atocha station is only about a 12 minute walk downhill. The rooms are very small, which is fine but also can get very noisy. The walls don’t seem to be well insulated. So if you are a light sleeper or someone who is an early to bed kind of person it may not suit you. The front clerks were all very nice. I found the precheck in to be quite a nuisance. Never had to do that before, hopefully never have to do it again.

Some of my dissatisfaction was due to the room. It was right near the entrance door so there was slamming and loud conversation throughout the night. Water running through pipes could be heard. We had an especially loud girl in the room never to us on the first night. The staff ranged from very professional to less so in interactions.

Room was clean but the walls were thin. We could hear the neighbors easily. Upstairs was jumping and walking heavily and at 6am people were already talking and walking back and forth in the hallways.
