I booked 2 rooms 2 months in advance. I immediately noticed that I booked 1 night too many, and asked to modify the reservation by 1 night less. They said the room was pre-paid and non-refundable. When I said I made the reservation 3 hours ago and just made a mistake, they hung up on me. In my opinion this is thievery, and an unacceptable procedure. We go to Mahahual every year, and I will never stay there again.

Our stay here was ok. It is what you would expect for the price you pay here. The staff were friendly, but not super helpful. We asked for some drinking glasses as there were none provided in the room, and the staff were uncomfortably reluctant to give us the glasses, suggesting we drink from bottles only. There were no fridges in the rooms, so we instead needed to buy ice down the road to cool our bottles of wine in the sink. The restaurant looked ok, but found it a little bit strange that the only people seems to be using it was the staff themselves eating infront of all the guests, and celebrating what seemed to be a birthday. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. All in all an ok stay. Mahahual does have a seaweed problem at certain times of the year, which is unfortunate but can’t be helped.

Ya habíamos visitado este hotel y está muy bonito y limpio. Ahora está sumamente descuidado. Sucio. Los colaboradores flojos solo sentados todo el día a excepción de l chica del bar. No no deja ron papel higiénico en la limpieza. No hay teléfono para liamar a Recepcion o pedir servicio a cuartos. Las pizzas terribles. Carísimo el tema de la bebida y comida y no tienen calidad. Que lastima. No volveremos

It’s right across the ocean! The only thing is the seaweed in front of the hotel. But no one can really control that. It’s beautiful inside

I liked the hotel looked but not how the room. The room looked like it had been used and wasn’t ready for new people to stay.
