Peaceful, relaxing place until.....
Posted May 23, 2024 on HomeAwayWe were scheduled to stay Thurs - Sunday. All was great until Friday evening as we settled in for the night to watch a movie when a man walked in the front door that apparently was staying in the house next door (same property). All were a bit frazzled to say the least.
Then came Saturday, morning was great, hiking and whatnot. That afternoon, relaxing on the deck and here comes a huge dog and the neighbor running along the yard.."our" yard behind the deck. Same area we had been walking our small dogs. Come to find out it was not their dog, however, there was no way we were letting our dogs out again with him running loose. Then he is just hanging on the back deck. So no.
The last straw was the block of Rat Poison that one of our dogs brought out from the bedroom. I wasn't sure what it was, so text the owner while husband was googling it. Owner says, "yeah that's under the furniture." Need to caveat place is not small dog friendly because any dog or even a child could get under the raised bed. I could easily reach under the raised bed.
So we decided to leave Saturday afternoon....Unexpected person walking in, Large dog not allowing us to take ours out, Rat poison, etc. We were done.
Upon loading up the truck as soon as we took our dogs out to put them in the Large dog charged us. I text the owner to let him know we were leaving a night early due to all the things that were going on. No response from Owner after that. Not all his control but a Sorry for the trouble?

Posted Apr. 23, 2024 on HomeAwayMy husband and I wanted a few days away for the grind of work, and we found the perfect place! The cabin is quiet and has great views. Plenty of things to do nearby - hiking, wineries, fishing, etc. Loved sitting on the back porch drinking coffee in the morning, taking in the views. Will definitely be back!

Peaceful and convenient
Posted Apr. 15, 2024 on HomeAwayPeace and quiet here. All I heard were birds chirping. The back deck looks out over fields and hills and was great to relax and listen to the happy birds. Cabin is great value, with two separate sleeping quarters WITH their own bathrooms. Pictures don’t do it justice. Perfect for wine trail weekend. Another VRBO house on the property (?) but nobody was there when we were, so it was great! Will absolutely book again!

Very clean and cozy cabin

I have stayed at two other properties owned by the same person and all have been clean and well appointed. Thank you for another great stay.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean, cozy cabin in the country, yet close enough drive to surrounding towns. One of the best hosts I have ever worked with, my family would definitely again!
