I was pleasantly surprised. Iâm a clock tower person, having stayed probably 30 nights or more total over 5-7 years in all the hotels other than the Raffles. This is about as nice (in the rooms) as the clock tower. Lobby and everything outside the rooms, not as much.
Itâs a 15-20 min walk to the courtyard, downhill. Itâs about 7 min walk to where the bus drops you, so Iâd never take the bus down. You MUST take the bus back because itâs a significant uphill. Alhamdulillah they changed the system so itâs no longer a bus per hotel at Ajyad bus station, but instead all hotels in one bus and they stop at all hotels on Ajyad Street. This is great for this hotel because you never have to wait for a bus, they leave every few minutes and youâre the first stop. Unfortunately you have to cross busy Ajyad street because it drops you on the opposite side. Super difficult with strollers, but thatâs Saudi life!
Food I think is non-existent at this hotel. We tried one day at one of the buffets and were excited by the low 50 SR price but then realized itâs not even worth that.
There is a little cafe and grocery store on the lobby floor which is great.
I found my new last 20 days of Ramadan hotel, which is the only time clock tower prices are no longer worth it.
