Fantastic

Dear host and family, Σας ευχαριστούμε πάρα πολύ για όλα! The location of this villa is spectacular, with a view over a winery, nearby hills, and of course the sea, close to the horizon. A reason on its own to book it. Inside the villa, it is very clean, there is plenty of light and open space, with stylish interior design. Most importantly- the hospitality of the host and family made us feel most welcome! To anyone who is still looking for a place for their vacation - you've been very lucky to have just found it!

Loved absolutely everything!! Gracious and generous hosts. Father of host family is an architect and designed the home, which is stunning with great attention to literally every detail. Smartly decorated both inside and out. Vineyard setting, panoramic view and pool also amazing. Our multi-generational family agreed this is the best place any of us have ever stayed!!

Above and beyond expectation !!

Can't say enough good things about this Cretan hill vill ! Right from the minute we arrived, it was a great experience. The staff ( family ) was cheerful and helpful and truly authentic The rooms were bright, seemed new, and clean. On top of everything, Kostas went above and beyond our expectation ..from first arriving to make sure we had healthy food / wine and raki ( the best ) to taking us in town just to make sure we knew where to go ect...on the third night his family cook us an extraordinary traditional cretan meal served at our house for 4 people ...but we could have fed 10 people ...honest people ....well, I left my 350 euros in a little bidding spot that I forgot about ..the following week after our stay I get a message that Kostas found the money and wanted to send it back even after I insisted to by him and his family lunch he refuse to made sure I get the money back !! t Definitely earned a repeat customer out of me ..since we plan on coming back for 2 weeks in the fall of 2020

This home was the best part of our month long trip in Greece. Kosta and his parents treated us like family and went beyond the expectations one has of a host. The house has all you would want and expect from a 5 star hotel (Gym, ping pong table, pool table, TVs in every room, laptop, high speed internet, etc...) this property sits on a gorgeous vineyard which Kosta welcomes you to pick the grapes right off the vines whenever you want. The views from this home are breathtaking, pictures don't do it justice. My 3 year old daughter loved the chickens who roam around the vineyard, she even was invited to see where they lay their eggs. If you plan on visiting Crete and want something different than a beachfront hotel, this is the place. P.S. Kosta's mom makes the best moussaka in Greece.

The Most Perfect Host & Fabulous Accommodation

Kostas and his family provided the most perfect example of hospitality ever experienced: from meeting us at the port and assisting us with picking up our rental car; then escorting us to the villa late at night followed by ordering take away from a local pizza parlour and presenting us with two bottles of thire own wine form their vineyard for a late dinner; advising us where and how to visit places in Crete including driving expectations; cooking a homemade meal for us on second night after a very long day touring (and two more bottles of their beautiful wine); coming to our rescue when we lost our way “home”; preparing the barbeque for our first self-cooked meal; and always being on hand to answer any of our queries.

Superb villa, incredible location

We had a fabulous stay at Cretan Hill Vineyard. The clue is in the name, it's set in a stunning vineyard in the hills above Heraklion. A wonderfully peaceful retreat from the bustle of Heraklion city with complete privacy. The villa is beautifully appointed and spacious, more than enough for our family of 5. The pool is gorgeous and set off a lovely patio with accompanying barbecue area. The location is within touching distance of Gazi which has several excellent bakeries/ice cream parlours. Within touching distance is Heraklion, which on the face of it is a little run down but scratch away the surface and you'll find a city full of life and traditional Greek hospitality with some amazing places to eat and drink. However, without doubt the best thing about this villa is the wonderful hosts, led by Kostas and Lefteris. We were made to feel welcome from the second we arrived to the moment we left. They really could not have done any more - sharing recommendations for local places to visit, allowing us to sample their Cretan wine made from the vineyard's grapes, joining us for dinner in Archanes (a must visit) one evening and even escorting us to the airport on departure. Thanks guys, it's not everyday that you receive such warm and genuine hospitality. You helped make our stay really special.
