Get away from it all at this dog-friendly condo near the slopes complete with a well-equipped kitchen and warming gas fireplace! During your stay, you'll also have access to a shared pool and hot tub.

If you're visiting during the winter months, it's a moderate but uphill walk to the slopes at Canyon Lodge (or make the short walk to the bus stop to get to the ski area and town). And when the sun is shining, this condo is just around the corner from the Lakes Basin Bike Path. Regardless of the season, be sure to visit the Village at Mammoth for shopping, dining, live events, and movies all less than a mile northeast of this home. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is required for access to and from this rental during the winter months.

Spend time together in the open concept living and dining areas featuring brand new carpeting as as well as a new gas fireplace. Alongside these spaces, the full kitchen comes equipped with cookware and dinnerware and a variety of labor-saving countertop gadgets and updated appliances. You also have access to a shared gas grill if you want to have a fun, summertime cookout.

After a day of skiing in winter or hiking and cycling in summer, rest easy in the master bedroom with a king-size bed and private, attached full bath, or in the guest room with two twins. With the addition of a second full bathroom and a sofabed in the living room, this home sleeps up to six guests very comfortably. Up to two well-behaved family dogs are also welcome to join you for an additional nightly fee.

Enjoy the free WiFi and keep up with all your favorite shows or watch a movie on the three cable TVs. This home also comes with a private washer/dryer, so you can start each day of your vacation with fresh, clean clothes.

Great cozy and comfortable condo near Canyon Lodge

We really enjoyed our stay. Just a 5 minute walk to Canyon Lodge. The condo is well maintained and nicely updated. Kitchen had everything necessary including coffee, coffee creamer and pet treats! We were concerned about parking as we knew our van wouldn’t fit in the parking garage but there are two parking spaces outside the garage and an extra parking lot (may need four wheel drive to access during winter). After numerous inquiries with Vacasa about the parking they advised us to park in a public lot which is a 30 minute walk away. So Vacasa was definitely no help with that issue. But the condo was absolutely perfect. Loved the gas fireplace and the big windows to enjoy the scenery. There’s a large balcony with slider doors from living room and master bedroom. All new windows, sliding doors and bathrooms. Super cozy carpet. Our kid loved the desk in the second room to play his video games. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Second Time's A Charm

Returning back, as we stayed at the same condo about 6 years ago! Lovely, spacious condo with a balcony. Very warm and inviting feel to the space. Bit of a walk up the hill to Canyon, but definitely manageable. Also, the shuttle stop is right out front which makes for a smooth loop around. Direct shot to the jacuzzi. We will be back! Thank you!

Lovely condo

The interior of the condo was lovely, clean, well-equipped, and dog-friendly. The location is terrific, right by a bus stop and walking distance to Canyon Lodge when it isn't icy. We had a great stay and wish we could live in this place full-time. However, we did have a negative experience with the upstairs neighbors (likely vacationers just there for the weekend) being very, very loud.

Ideal Mammoth Hideaway

We stayed recently here and were so impressed- we can't wait to go back! The owners have taken such good care of their condo and the management company is organized and is obviously doing a good job at taking care of it. The location is unbeatable- about a 3 minute car trip up the street to Canyon Lodge. Without kids, this is probably doable to talk but with kids, not advisable. Just drive up the street with all of your gear, it's so easy. The condo itself is spacious and has a perfect open layout. I think it looks better in person than in the pictures (and that is nearly impossible to do, I'm in real estate, I know)! The only minor thing to watch out for is to be careful with the wood paneling- it's easy to get a splinter if you put your hand on it, as I did when I was taking off my boots, and it was the biggest splinter I've ever seen! But, just something to note and to be careful about. Enjoy and again, we can't wait to go back!

Stay Away so long as Vacasa is the Property Manager

This review is regarding the property manage for this unit. A separate review of the unit itself is below. After two weeks, I am still angry at the property management company, Vacasa, for this unit. Until the owners of the unit change property management companies, I would advise staying away as there are many comparable units in the Mountainback Complex and Mammoth Lakes in general. After booking the unit through VRBO, I requested a late check out, even if only two hours, as instructed in the contract (which suggests it is an option). I immediately received a response that it was not available because of housecleaning and the next renter arriving the same day. Due to the response, I was not able to ski with my family on the last day of our trip. However, as I was the person in my family checking out of the unit and packing the car, I confirmed that the housecleaners never came from the hours 11am - 3pm, even though I saw the housecleaners work the neighboring unit. How do I know? I checked back into the unit every hour from 11am - 3pm. In addition, I went onto the VRBO website and it showed the unit available on that same day we checked out. Thus, I was denied an opportunity to spend the last day with my family because of the incompetence of the property manager. So long as the owners are using this property management company, I would advise against renting from this unit. Unit Review Nice unit, properly cleaned, bathrooms have been renovated. Everything you need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and furniture. Microwave and venting system above the range are broken/not-operable. In the Master bedroom, the sliding glass door needs to be repaired, as there is a significant gap between the two doors, allowing air in. Was able to remedy the problem by stuffing a towel in the crack. Would be helpful to have humidifiers in the unit. Appreciate that it is dog friendly.

Felt very comfortable and cozy. Great place, close to the slopes and the shuttle bus. Warmed up quickly and nicely provisioned. My only negative is I don’t think this counts as ski-in/ski-out. Maybe ski-in if there is a ton of snow (we went in april so maybe we just missed it) but I don’t see how it is ski-out. Would book this again regardless.
