The M Mammoth is a charming Bed and Breakfast style inn located in a central Mammoth residential area, offering eight cozy and comfortable rooms. Located within walking distance to the Village and Canyon Lodge Gondola where the best skiing, restaurants and shops in Mammoth are located. As the seasons change we are moments away form some of the most beautiful hiking and biking trails on the West Coast.
The place is really simple, but it was comfortable, quiet, and I had everything I needed. The floors could have been swept a little more, and maybe an ice machine would have been helpful. I was there 3 days and didn't see an employee once; however, they had everything covered up front, and I really didn't need anyone! Amazing! I would stay here again!
Let me start with a warning. This property is listed as accepting dogs, but despite making the booking for two adults and a dog there was no mention of a pet fee until check-in, which was also when we were told that dogs are not allowed in the room unattended. These are details that need to be clearly disclosed before booking.
Other than that, the room was ok - very small but clean. Shower was almost useless very little water pressure and the hot water ran out quickly. For the price we paid after all the fees are tacked on I don't think this was a great option.
Overall great stay with a wonderful location. Property was nice and clean, wishing it wasn't covid because the hostel / hotel situation seems like it would have been very social and fun.
This room was primarily booked for evening stays after snowboarding. The check in process that was emailed was different then the actual process. Our room came with no Roku which killed the overall relaxing in the room part of our stay. The walls are very, very thin and with a wooden hallway, the noise seems amplified. It wasn't bad but wasn't great.
My husband and I would stay at this property again! Perfect location and simple room exactly what we were looking for. Very clean and property manager messaged back right away each time we had a question.
