Hotel Ivaniaâs in Masaya is actually a big house converted into a bed and breakfast. The rooms are tiny and plain, but the beds are very comfortable. The pool is small and we didnât dare to jump in since the water seemed stagnant.
Hotelâs employees are extremely polite and they are always willing to help. Thereâs Wi-Fi in the rooms, although somewhat slow. Breakfast is free. We didnât discover any good restaurant in the vicinity, so we took a taxi âwhich are inexpensiveâ to the eateries in La Colonia shopping center or to Narcyâs Restaurant on the highway to Managua.
If you are visiting the Mercado de ArtesanĂa in Masaya, Hotel Ivaniaâs is a good place to spend the night. But if youâre planning a longer stay, you might consider a hotel in Managua or Granada, which are just a 15-minute drive from Masaya and have very nice lodgings. Or you can go to the beautiful Laguna de Apoyo, in Masaya, with very good hotels and magnificent views.
