A cozy guesthouse situated in a stunning 2 hectare garden. The guesthouse is fully self contained and well renovated with quality fixtures and fittings. Outdoor furniture and BBQ available so you can make the most of the garden during your stay.
Special conditions:
No smoking allowed sorry.

The property is not suitable for children due to the numerous ponds in the garden.

No cooking spicy or deep fried food that may permeate the curtains and carpet and be unpleasant for future guests.

If you wish to stay one night only please contact us. A $30 surcharge will apply, to be paid on arrival.

Please note we have a very friendly medium-sized dog and a cat who are likely to visit for a pat.

Winter break

Very comfortable & stylish inside, thoughtfully equipped, lovely garden and friendly and helpful hosts. Woodburner and electric heater makes it cosy, french doors onto deck would be great in warm weather with table and chairs for al fresco dining. Cottage is separated from main house by double carport, but not overlooked so feels private; nice garden views from all windows. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful little getaway haven

Thank you Ruth and Gary I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hosts were great. Nothing was a problem, however at the same time, they are very intuitive in gauging how much their guests wish to interact or not. Such a great place to kick back and unwind. Also very handy location to many things if wanting to explore. I 've had a lovely holiday.

Great Break.

We enjoyed our stay and had a really good time talking with Ruth and Garry about their extensive gardens. The guest home is comfortable and met all our expectations. We took e-bike rides to Otaki and Waikawa. We hope to be back in Autumn.

Such a delight for a peaceful and rejuvenating weekend away. Quiet, super comfortable - including the bed, a really well equipped kitchen and good broadband connection too. Far more spacious than we'd expected. The garden is stunning, well worth exploring, and such an added delight for our wedding anniversary escape. A wide range of great eateries nearby if you want a break from cooking. We enjoyed a lovely walk on Otaki Beach too. Friendly, caring hosts. Will definitely be back!

Unforgettable experience!

Really nice place. Many aspects make this a great place to stay. It Is an extremely modern and well catered garden cottage. The wood burner and the awesome dishwasher were wonderful accessories that just gave it that edge over other brilliant places we have stayed. The people who own the venue are extremely welcoming and quite clearly want you to feel at home. Would stay here again in a flash.

A wonderful spot to relax

I really enjoyed my break away. The fire made the place cosy and Ruth and Gary were great hosts. I loved looking around the garden and found the guest house comfortable and having everything I needed. Highly recommended.

Peaceful getaway

Ruth and Gary are wonderful hosts. The check-in process was really easy and they were on hand to help throughout the stay. The gardens are vast and beautiful. Enjoyed many walks throughout the grounds and their cute dog also joined me! Bach is perfect for a peaceful getaway. That reading nook is a book-lovers dream! Not to mention the fire. (They made sure there was plenty of wood available and also helped when I couldn't get the fire going!). Highly recommend.

This is definately the best place to go to if you need some peace and quiet. Ruth and Gary let us have our privacy and we had full use of their fantastic garden. The cottage was really beautiful and was perfect in every way. I recommend it to everyone and I would like to visit their cottage again.
