Suits the needs of a city hotel

The room was entry-level but spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with plenty of surfaces for placing belongings. The refurbished bathrooms, complete with an illuminated powder/shaving mirror, are a thoughtful touch. At £170 for a Friday night with breakfast included, the price sits just above budget price. Well, it does for my pocket. Breakfast was generally good. The cooked options were better than average, though the continental spread of meats and cheeses didn’t quite match what the menu promised. A few listed items were missing from the buffet, which has been a recurring issue in my previous stays at this hotel. The beds use standard hard platform bases with commercial mattresses, which tend to be the hotel’s weak point. That said, the mattress during this stay was more comfortable than usual, making for a reasonable night’s sleep.

As long as you asked. We love the hotel. Great location, great staff. But there are a couple of really minor things. Are there really NO dressers in any of the rooms or wax it out glass of room? The shower head is too small and also does not tilt up. American travelers would appreciate more US TV channels and I couldn’t find ANY EPL Games . The remote was very hard to use but again we love you and will ALWAYS stay at your place when we visit which is at least once a year

Strange house keeping

Good and clean rooms. However, housekeeping was quite odd. 1) Only replaced one towel in my room though we have 2 staying. 2) Took away my extra key card and returned it the day after. 3) Folded up the damp/wet floor mat instead of replacing it with a new one.
