Modern and convenient

We stay one night in Ritz Grand Hotel during our trip in Myanmar. The hotel is very convenient, the room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is correct. The SkyBar at the top of the building is a nice place to have a drink and eat something.

The property was convenient, safe and the staff friendly. Plenty of restaurants within a minutes walk or a 6 minute taxi ride. The hotel was also very clean, had a restaurant on lication andca soa.

Short stay, not great location

A little far from the action in Mandalay. I stayed because I had a late flight in and was meeting friends. I thought it was arranged for me to stay in their room but apparently not, this was for sure their fault and not the hotels. However they paid around $50usd for the night and when we asked to have an extra bed or a cot it was going to be another $25usd. I arrived at 10pm and we were leaving at 5am. Because of the time it was going to take to get another bed set and I'd been traveling for 30+ hours I ended up just getting a room myself, I ended up booking online because it was way cheaper at $41usd than the price they could offer me. I asked if there was any way they could do a half rate because I wasn't getting into the room until 11pm and leaving at 5am, so $41usd for 6 hours seem outrageous. They wouldn't budge on the price at all. If it hadn't of been far from other accommodation and so late at night I would have gone and found someplace else. For the short amount of time I was in the room it was nice. I just think that with the location and so many other options available in Mandalay for better price with same amenities you can find better.
