Saving a few $$ is NOT ALWAYS the best !!

This is not someplace I would ever select again. Very scetchy place
Lol this was provided breakfast
People were nice but it was a little unsettling.
Bathroom was very unclean needed mopped and too be swept.

Oh My!!!

It was frightening. I made the reservation trusting that Hotels.com would have checked the place out. I discovered it was transient housing with very poor up keep. The staff was very friendly but the facility was very run down and scarey. I didn’t stay once I saw the property and room. The had blue bulbs in the lights and smelled off. I left and found other accommodations where I felt safe.

The front desk person was not there to check in at 8:30 at night and the door to the lobby was closed. Our room was filthy, the lamp didn’t have a lamp shade, the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, the ceiling had brown clumps of something on it. There were crayon marks on the walls. The sink didn’t have hot water. The floors were disgusting. I will NEVER stay there again.

DO NOT STAY HERE

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE OTHER REVIEWS! After reading the reviews, I thought this place looked clean and safe for a weekend spent with my two teenage daughters. I checked in for a 3 night stay on Thursday evening. While entering our second story, exterior door room, we noticed groups of men sitting outside of their rooms on old couches and chairs drinking beer. (I was told later that a construction company rents out the rooms in that building for their workers to stay for months at a time) Upon entering the room, we noticed that it was very dirty. There were hairs left in the sink and bathroom along with trash that was not thrown away, and the mirrors were not even cleaned. The entire room was extremely run down. The extra locks on the exterior door were also broken. We stayed for 10 minutes and left, because it did not feel safe in any way to stay here!! I called and emailed the following morning to request a partial refund since we only used the room for 10 minutes. I called back Monday morning because I did not receive a response, and I was told that no refunds would be given for game weekend.

We came in late and had to stay the night, but upon arrival and battling the flies and trying to adapt to the smoke smells, we cancelled the rest of our stay. We initially couldn’t find anything open in Manhattan and knew we needed something! And knew we’d be in very late— but this was completely unacceptable.

Maybe close to worst room conditions I have ever seen and I am 81 years old.. I was moderately pressured to pay before seeing room. The carpet had been removed and a coating was on the floor. The sink had fly's and was not cleaned. The tub was unfit to step in. The toilet lid when I opened fly's flew out. My wife would not enter room. Manager tried to show us another room after she said they were sold out. We booked a room at Hampden Inn close by with no problem. I expect a full refund from Grand View Plaza Inn.

The pictures on the website/app aren’t current. I would guess they are 20+ years old. The first mistake by us was opening the door, which didn’t work with the key, and it was mostly broken. Once we opened the door, the stench of the room was horrendous. It was completely dirty and looked as if our room had been part of a crime scene multiple times. Terrible!!! Don’t stay here.

Cannot believe hotels.com has the motel listed as an option on its site. It was tilthy. We checked into our room and left immediately causing us to have to purchase another hotel room somewhere else. There were bugs crawling on the floor and mold in the shower. It felt very unsafe.
