The staff were absolutely fantastic, they made an incredible holiday even better. We can’t wait to go back. The property is well maintained and they are doing work on updating anything that needs it. Lovely beach and our room was exactly what we were hoping for. Overall fantastic!!

The staff could not be more helpful, the rooms were great, food excellent and the snorkeling at their beach included sightings of turtles and lion fish.

Rooms are in a need of maintenance, many things are broken (sliding doors, missing knobs on furniture, ripped cushion covers etc..). The mini fridge in one of the fales was absolutely disgusting (yellow, missing shelves and looked like from 70s). Air con in this fale didn't work properly (didn't cool at all). For the price that you are paying in this resort, you would expect the free bottled water every day. The response from the staff was that we have received a welcome drink. Continental breakfast was inadequate. There was no choice of warm meal, only two slices of the dry toast, with few slivers of fruit plus below average coffee or one dcl of juice. All and all, we would probably not return.

Talofa Iveta, thank you for being our guests. We are very sorry that you didn't have a wonderful experience during your stay. Maintenance is a constant part of our operations, and after being closed for almost 3 years we are still working on catching up to a normal level. We also apologize that the free breakfast items we offer were not adequate for you. A Continental breakfast typically does not include any warm meal, however we do offer many different cooked dishes which can be purchased. The water in the taps at Coconuts is filtered and treated on site, so it is safe to drink. In an effort to cut down on plastic waste, we encourage guests to refill empty bottles for reuse. We value your feedback, and do use it to make improvements wherever possible. Fa'afetai for taking the time to share your thoughts. Tofa soifua.

disappointment

Publié le 25 juill. 2023 sur Hotels
we arrived as planned late at night and were shown to our room by the driver. There were pools of rainwater on the floor. The AC outside the window was making a humming noise which made it impossible to sleep. We were given a ground-floor room although we had been promised a 1st-floor room. Although we were moved upstairs the next day, this was just the beginning of a not-very-successful stay. The grounds and the rooms are ok (apart from the noisy AC), but the staff appears tired and unenthusiastic particularly in the restaurant and in the reception. Getting a wifi code (to the very bad wifi) was a long process that could only be handled by the director within her working hours. Breakfast is substandard. The driver was the only exception to this

Talofa dear guest, we are very sorry to hear that your experience was anything less than excellent. It was indeed unfortunate that the heavy rain had gone through the door and made the floor wet, in addition to having the noise from the a/c unit. Sometimes unexpected problems happen, and when they occur during the busy times, we have less options available as solutions. While we really hope that our guests can take a break from their wifi while relaxing at Coconuts, but we understand that this world has evolved to the point where some can not. There are usually two ways to to purchase the data on the wifi, and one of them can be done entirely online, without our assistance. We are a little surprised to hear that you felt the staff in general was tired. Maybe you are not accustomed to the typical ways of life in the South Pacific, which is a bit slower and more relaxed than many visitors are used to. We are not sure which breakfasts you found substandard. Perhaps it was the free continental breakfast that's included with every stay? We do also offer a variety of delicious cooked dishes available for purchase. We thank you for being our guests, and for sharing your feedback. Tofa soifua!

Coconuts is set in stunning location with a beautiful wide sandy beach that would be ideal for young families. It was also great for snorkelling and kayaking. At high tide we were lucky enough to spot turtles swimming from our balcony. We enjoyed the meals at Coconut's Mikas restaurant and walked to neighbouring Sinelei Reef resort and ate there also. The local Ocean Beach club is an option for a relaxed lunch. Our accommodation (an over-the-water fale) was spacious, clean and quiet. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. The staff at Coconuts were very friendly and welcoming. All in all we had a wonderful time relaxing at the resort and exploring the sights Upolu.
