Signed up for king and got 2 full bed room. No desk, no chair to sit in. Door was damaged did not lock properly. Space around door and underneath. They offered me another room. Same door not latch. Next door dog barking. Advertised breakfast not available. Store empty. Run down room with peeling paint. Requested early check out. Told I had to pay since after 11 am. Terrible place. Description not accurate.

Nice staff, sticky floors

The front staff at check-in was great. Very friendly. The room appeared clean until we took off our shoes. The floor was sticky and we had black stuff all over our feet. The toilet clogged and we had to get a plunger. One issue that really bothered me was the details of the hotel said breakfast was available. It was not. And it being a Sunday morning, most places on the island were closed. I added pictures of what the rag looked like when we wiped our feet off. Very yucky.

Think motel here, not hotel. We were disappointed.

This is not a hotel, it’s much more like a motel. Staff was pleasant and understanding and very nice. However, we had to change rooms due to a terrible, weird, ozone type smell. The air conditioning also made a loud noise. So, they put us in a different room. The property is spread out and it’s difficult to find which building you may be staying in. Parking was weird and it’s tough to even drive around that place. This is one of those listings where the pictures are very misleading. The rooms aren’t as nice as the pictures show you and quite a bit smaller than they look. This is an old place that they’ve updated quite a bit but it still feels…..cheap. Had it not been so late and us being exhausted from our drive here I would’ve booked something elsewhere. If you just need a clean, cheap room, then this will do. The staff are very nice and there is a restaurant here. Little get away with your spouse or get away to relax and chill? This isn’t the place.

Typical beach old style motel

Older facility that is slowly being upgraded. More like a motel. Very small bathroom, no name shampoo, etc. little no counter space for things. Bed very comfortable. Staff very nice!

Several of the outlet in the room were broken and even pulled out if the wall. The ice machine was located in another building which was inconvenient The hotels in manteo are older so rooms are arranged to the best given the structure

We ended up walking into our room and immediately setting our bags down and calling to ask for a refund and booking a Hilton further down the road. The room was run down, dirty (smooshed bugs on the walls, stains on the walls, etc) and had a random board nailed across the very poor condition flooring. The outside is run down, pavement is in very poor condition, there is no signage directing people to outbuildings, the light inside the door didn’t work, there’s no sink or mirror in the bathroom and the walls were PAPER THIN. We could hear people walking around and clearing the throat from the room next door. The pictures on Expedia are not a true representation of what this “hotel” (motel) is. Suck it up and spend the extra $40 a night to stay ON the Outer Banks. You won’t regret it but you might regret staying here.

We had a good stay at this Hotel. The rooms were all clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Staff was nice. Bathroom was a little outdated but worked fine. A good place to stay for a few nights if you are exploring the area.

Short stay

Stayed just a short stay but the hotel was in a good location and the room was perfect for me and my wife. Only thing is the bathroom was really small, and no continental breakfast in the morning. But there is an excellent restaurant with a bar on site that’s perfect for dinner.
