This meticulously maintained soundfront condominium is nestled in the waterways of Manteo. This prime spot right on the bay is ideal for the family's fishers, as well as being perfectly situated within walking distance to the many local shops and restaurants downtown. Park your car in the private garage and begin your amazing vacation!

Your 3 bedroom/2 and a half bath condo in the Shallowbag Bay community will greet you with beautiful views of the waterfront, plus comfortable decor and features among your accommodations. A well-furnished living space with high ceilings, lovely window-side seating and flat-screen TV provides a great spot to sit and relax after your busy day of fun in the Outer Banks!

The lovely full kitchen will make the chef in the family happy too. You'll feel at home with all the appliances and necessary cookware to prepare a delicious meal. With a kitchen bar and countertop seating, there's plenty of workspace and seating! With the large dining table with seating for six, you can all enjoy a lovely meal together and then head out onto the balcony for some spectacular views, where you can discuss your next great adventure.

The two En Suites boast Queen beds draped with plush bedding and direct balcony access, so guests can enjoy tranquil views of Shallowbag Bay's canal or the marshy bay area. The third bedroom has a Twin over Twin Bunk Bed and includes balcony access to ensure everyone rests comfortable and in style. A laundry room is conveniently located just around the corner!

Possibly everyone's favorite amenities will be the ping pong and pool tables, sure to bring hours of fun to your relaxing escape! The private balcony is filled with porch-style seating, inviting you to sit, relax and take in the breeze with the views of the private boat dock - which you have access to! Enjoy having a short walk to the community's amenities such as the pool, hot tub, fitness center and clubhouse. One of Manteo's top-rated restaurants, Striper's Bar & Grille, is right next door on the pier.

This property has 3 parking spots for guests.

Overall, pleasant condo

The condo itself was cute and a good distance to the beach and other destinations. There were a lot of crumbs on the tables, counters and floors when we arrived so I cleaned it with supplies I had. When I contacted management they offered to send someone to clean it the next morning, however, I had already cleaned. Overall we had a lovely time and enjoyed our trip.

Pelican's Perch Review 6.2024

I loved this location and the town of Manteo. Watching the boats coming in out was amazing, and the peacefulness of the property is more than you would expect. Except for the fact that you can hear footsteps above you, it's to be expected for a condo. I must say, the carpet needs to go! It stinks and it's nasty. I took a shower, walked around barefoot, and then noticed that my feet were very dirty! It also stinks like Dog pee. I had to buy some candle warmers during my stay. This condo has a lot of potential and could end up being a top place to stay but it just needs a big clean up. We found trash under the couch and in the cushions. Also there was trash under the dressers. We did not sleep in the bunk beds but they need to be updated and they look unsafe. The wood is cracked on the top bunk and it seems to be held together by glue. The hot water in the kitchen was not working but we improvised without complaining. The showers were great but still needs an update!! Update the Pelican and you will be amazed how much this property would benefit. Thank you :)

Nice Place, Needs Improvement

The TV in the bedroom didn't work. We notified them on the first full day that it wasn't working and it took them to the last full day to even come look, at which a part needed to be ordered, and wouldn't get there in time. The upstairs neighbor pees on the deck and it trickles down. There were stains that looked like poop on chairs and curtains. The top bunk bed was not made, sheets just left on top of it. A pool, hot tub and pool table was advertised in the listing but we were never given a key card to enter, so we couldn't utilize these amenities. There were hairs sealed in the bags with towels. And no clear instruction on wear to leave trash.

Good, but disappointing

Check in was over an hour late. The cleaning lady said the condo was leftvis awfyl condition and vomit in the kitchen trash can. Gross!!! Then the upstairs neighbors dog pees on the deck above which came flooding down to the sitting area of the rental condo. Appalling. Otherwise, location and rest of condo was nice...even though the toilet in the jack and jill bathroom hadnt been cleaned either. Was a bit disappointed in overall sanitation.

Great Location in Manteo

As advertised and a little more. Great location within walking distance on Manteo waterfront (less than a half mile). Property is in great condition: comfortable for six. Spacious and well-equipped. Terrific view of moored watercraft just outside. Strippers Bar & Restaurant located on-site overlooking the bay has great local fare with nightly specials. Our first time in Manteo. This property made it extra special!

Unit locked when we arrived and no rep their to let us in. Made several calls, no answers

Property management horrible. None of my phone calls and emails re: check in before and after 4pm checkin were answered. Very very stressful situation. Once they took my money, no communication with them was possible. No apologies received. I will be surprised if this evaluation is published. I hope the owner learns of the management problems! Yes, I am really, really angry. Never had such an experience, and I travel a lot!
