A unique, modern, wooded retreat perched on a hilltop above Manzanita with a 5 minute walk to Neahkahnie Beach. This mid-century modern architect designed home rises 3 stories; making it feel as if you were staying in a treehouse.

Walk to town via beach - 20 minutes

We are always available to answer questions about the house or the area via VRBO, text or phone. We have local contacts that check on the house frequently and are available in case of an emergency.

The top floor features a large vaulted ceiling and expansive windows with an open kitchen, dining room and living room with an adjacent outdoor deck. The second floor is made up of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom is a wet-bath complete with heated floors. The larger bedroom has a queen size bed and the smaller bedroom has a full size bed, but also features it's own deck. The bottom floor is one large open master bedroom and sitting area. It features a queen size bed, pull out sofa bed, tv and a private bathroom with heated floors. It also has it's own deck. The room can be separated from the stairwell by privacy curtains. The bottom floor bathroom also contains the laundry area with washer and dryer. Bluetooth soundsystem, Roku TV with Netflix on 2 floors.

Unique Manzanita House

We really enjoyed this unique house in a quiet setting surrounded by trees. Only a few blocks from the beach. One mile walk to downtown. The owner was very helpfuland communicated well. Not advisable for people who cannot walk up and down stairs.

Unique treehouse in a beautiful area.

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights with my 83 yo mother. The steps were not an issue and she stayed in the bottom level with a nice walk-in shower. We took the second floor queen bedroom and used the third bedroom as an area for our luggage. The top floor was great with the kitchen and living room. We sat on the deck in the afternoon with the sun coming in. It was peaceful and relaxing. Very clean and easy checkin and checkout. Walking to Manzanita was easy and less than a mile. Beach was fun with dog walkers. House was very unique and fun.

Intimate Forest Retreat

Perfect spot for a family that wants to be near the ocean, with the great outdoors/woods experience. Common area is beautiful. Would love to return.

It was a surprise to find such an innovative architecturally interesting home for vacation rental. This was our best experience in a vacation rental. However, those who don't like modern design, who don't like stairs, and those who won't be responsible and respectful to the property should stay away.

Uniquely beautiful house

This was a very unique beach house. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Manzanita has its own Oregon coast charm like no other. The house was very special. Close to beach and shopping in town. Lovely neighborhood. We had a great time.

Sun filled leaves filling the windows...

...one of the many stunning features of this property, but this one was hands down my favorite. My spot on the sofa, in the afternoon, with a freshly brewed coffee in one hand, and a book in the other. Pure serenity! I came here with my 80-year-old mom visiting from Germany. She so enjoys walking on the beach...and what pristine places we would find. Even with plenty of tourists in the area, we would still manage to find plenty of raw nature. The house was lacking absolutely nothing. Beautifully restored with every attention to detail. It was such a pleasure staying here. Check-in and Check-out process was super easy as well. Beautiful tranquil tree house!

Beautiful house, peaceful visit, FABULOUS beds

We had a great and beautiful visit on our women's weekend trip. You can tell how much thought was put into the design of the house - it's gorgeous. The house was clean and in a quiet residential neighborhood. The beds were incredibly comfortable - a super important quality in a vacation rental. Pots and pans were great, the French press worked like a charm, towels were fluffy and everything felt peaceful. The main couch was also really comfy to sit on. We would come back here again. We're already planning our visit for next year.

What a gem in the trees

Our family of five stayed here and loved it. The kitchen has everything you'd need and there were plenty of towels to go around. Convenient to have a washer and dryer in the house too! We'd stay here again. It's really well appointed, 5 minute walk to the beach, and an easy drive to town.

lovely treehouse above the beach

Enjoyed a long weekend here among the trees. Tucked away on a quiet hillside, with an easy walk down to the beach or over to town. Great windows & skylights upstairs; covered decks on every floor are perfect for enjoying the Oregon spring. We've been coming to Manzanita for years, this has to be one of the nicest places in town. Great for 2-4 adults. 3 bedrooms make it possible to sleep more, but you'd need to really enjoy everyone's company to share the living/dining/kitchen. Kitchen's small, but well appointed for dining in.
