Teal Wing - Premier Lakeside Lodging on Lake Gogebic

We are excited you are interested in our Teal Wing Rental property! We hope that we can bring you the best vacation experience and provide you with the best customer service you could ask for! We have just completed remodeling the Kitchen and baths with Maple cabinets, granite counter-tops, all new Stainless appliances and Air Conditioning.. We also just remodeled the porch, deck and bedroom walk out deck in 2022. We have a 3 night minimum stay requirement, however we will accommodate a two night stay for an additional fee. Please inquire with us regarding 2 night stay options before booking.

This Lake Gogebic Vacation Home is geared for today's lifestyle with the conveniences you would expect to find and more. Our home is very well-equipped and maintained, and is located on the West Shore of beautiful Lake Gogebic, the largest inland lake in Michigan's Western Upper Peninsula. The home is on more than 1 acre lot with 110 feet of lake frontage and includes a dock and boat lift (2600 lb. weight restriction) as well as a nice swimming area. Enjoy magnificent views of the lake from the comfort of the home or outdoor deck. Patio furniture and a charcoal Weber grill are also included. No reason to share a bed as this is the perfect place for 8 people to each sleep in their own separate bed, everyone can have a bed for themselves, if desired. Main floor bedroom has a queen bed, upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed the other with two twin beds, lower level has been updated in one large open bedroom with one queen pillow top bed, two twin beds and a new full sized sleeper sofa. Snowmobile and ATV enthusiasts will appreciate the direct access to trail #1. We have an expanded and widened nice long T-shaped driveway to accommodate snowmobile and ATV trailers and boat trailers. We welcome all outdoor enthusiasts that love the wilderness and beauty of Michigan s Upper Peninsula. Our area has just received the honor for being the Number 1 area to take in fall colors in the US". Mid September to Mid October are the best times to take in the fall colors. If you like to fish, this is one of the best lakes for Jumbo Perch in the mid west, especially December through March and in May come on up and fill your coolers with Walleye as this lake is famous for Walleye, Perch, Small mouth bass and Northern Pike.

Teal Wing is a beautiful home with amazing views out all of the windows. It is a very peaceful setting that invites you to relax and glory in the Beauty all around you. We went out on the dock at night to stargaze and we were treated to a magnificent moon rise across the water. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at Teal Wing. The hosts were most gracious and very responsive. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage with us.

Great Location

Neat, clean, just as described. The boat lift was a great amenity. Plenty of room inside for our 6 adults and three kids. Lots of room for our 3-4 vehicles and 2 boat trailers to park. Hosts were easily reachable. Lots of other fishing opportunities within a 30 minute drive.

Gogebic Snowmobile Trip

This property is perfect for a group of people, has plenty of beds and couches to sleep. There is ample room for parking trucks and trailers and direct access to the lake for sleds. Great place to stay, close to Gogebic Lodge for food, gas, and trail passes. Dan communicated very well prior to our arrival and everything went smooth. Highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful and perfect

We loved our time at Teal Wing. Comfortable beds, nice modern bathrooms, kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more. There is one air conditioner unit in the living room but we never needed it. Even on 80 degree days. The owners provide tons of towels and toiletries! You don’t need to bring anything but your boat. We hope to return! The only issues we had: the heating control in the main floor bedroom appears to be broken. We turned it on super low on the cold nights and the room was like a sauna, there was no firewood so we had to buy 4 bundles, and no screen doors so lots of flys inside the house were hard to control

So clean, well stocked and updated, plenty room in and out for 8 adults and child, private location and awesome views! Did alot of fishing so the dock for 2 boats and our kayaks very helpful. WaClose to area attractions as in places to eat and hike like the Porkies. Dog easily able to stay on deck as part was covered and could keep crate there. Owners kept in contact .

Fall UTV Trip

We had a nice time staying here to ride our UTV. You do have to travel on the road a bit to get to the trails but the trails are practically endless. Snowmobiles have direct trail access. Good communication with the owner and a well equipped house with a beautiful view of the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay! The Teal Wing was clean, well stocked, and nicely located to see some of the great sites that the Upper Peninsula has to offer. Furthermore, the hosts were very helpful and nice to communicate with. Would highly recommend.

2023 summer vacation

This house was the perfect fit for my family of 4 plus my mom and 2 dogs. A beautiful property sits on lake Gogebic with a dock. We rented a pontoon boat from the Gogebic Lodge and parked it at the dock between drives. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, sofas upon which to relax, the perfect place!

Great 2022 Family Vacation atTeal Wing

Our Family and Kids 5 adults and 3 kids had a wonderful stay at Teal Wing. The house was comfortable, clean and had all the amenities needed. The location on lake and yard was great and the dock with the boat lift was a huge bonus. Parking was easy for 3 vehicles and boat Fishing guide “Me” needs a longer stay 😂 and more hours to be productive (Maybe next time if we’re up for 2weeks it would make sense to take Owners advice and hire the guide for a day) Located fish and fishing right off pier from the house was good. The communication with the owners was great and they were even able to notify us we could get us in a few hours early! Overall it was a great experience and lots of good memories

Beautiful stay on Gogebic

The house was well stocked and had everything we needed! Literally only need to bring clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste and food. The queen beds on 1st and second floor are very firm so I would recommend putting memory foam topper especially if guests are middle-aged or older but other than that it was beautiful, clean and well set up for families to truly enjoy their stay while choosing to enjoy staying right there or local natural areas. There is a sandy beach at the state park right up the road for $10/car if you need that.
