This hotel had the friendliest and most accommodating manager I have ever met. The breakfast was as good as it gets for this type of hotel. The breakfast staff was friendly and constantly checking the food and area. The pool was wonderful. We were busy and did not have an opportunity to use the outside tables and chairs, picnic table or enjoy the fire but they looked very inviting (it was also very warm while we were there). The only complaint we had was the bathtub was past its prime and needs replaced. We changed rooms so we had a beautiful walk-in shower but it needed grab bars to be safer for older people.

The young lady checking us in, took a phone call, it was someone looking for a room. Instead of asking him to hold one minute and finish checking us in, she just kept talking to him. In customer service industry you need to learn to juggle. Simply say, may I place you on hold for a brief moment and finish the client I was waiting on. Then pick them back up.

This is in Caldwell, Ohio. We stayed here b/c my husband's parents live very close but they don't have air conditioning so in the summer we choose the hotel to stay when we visit them. No shopping around, a couple of restaurants and gas stations are close for convenience. Again, it's a small town so this is not touristy at all. But very safe. And quiet. The backdrop of the hills in SE Ohio which you can get a good view from in the hotel is beautiful. It's quaint and pleasant. Pool and hot tub are adequate. Everything clean and well maintained. Staff is extremely pleasant and hard working. Breakfast was one of the better breakfasts I've ever had at a hotel of this standard. And the kitchen staff worked hard to make sure the food was kept warm and restocked as it was pretty busy in there on a Saturday morning. I do think for Caldwell, Ohio that $142/night might be a bit steep in price seeing as how there is really nothing there (no offense, Caldwell) but just saying. I think it was $115 with tax last year which to me seems a more appropriate price. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend if you're ever traveling to / near Caldwell for some reason.

The staff is friendly, well trained and obviously love working here. The facility is in great condition. I used the exercise room with a recumbent exercise bike, the hot tub and pool as well as the laundry facility. All were great. This is now my best stay this month long trip.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. It was clean, quiet and relaxing. The pool and hot tub were amazing. Breakfast ended a bit early but there was a microwave and fridge in the room. Just what I was looking for.

Joyful!

Best part of our stay was the hostess Joy, she was awesome! We loved our conversations with her, and she was very helpful about local activities going on an places to dine. Every time we saw her we wound up talking for 5 minutes with her, she does a great job and her polite attitude makes it easy to speak with her. Thank you Joy! Rooms were clean property nice, enjoyed our stay!

The hotel was very clean, the beds comfortable and the people that work there friendly and helpful. The only thing that could change seems to be a new trend and that is emptying the trash and clean towels daily. We don't need the beds made or the floor swept. We asked for towels and received them and the room was made up on one of the days we stayed. This seems to be a trend across the board since Covid. The staff were great, the place was the cleanest we have stayed in for a very long time. Great job on their part.

We check in at 830 pm got to our room then electric went off and was off for over 3 hours. The woman at the desk shouldn’t been by herself trying to handle power outages because there was no backup plans when the power goes out.
