If you're tired of the same old boring vacations and would like to discover an area which National Geographic named as the 9th most beautiful place on the earth, our private mountain home will help create incredible memories for your next family vacation or for any retreat.

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains within a gated community, our home, is off the beaten path in an area of awe-inspiring natural beauty. With three major lakes (Lake Jocassee, Lake Keowee & Lake Lure), a major river (Saluda) and no less than six pristine state parks within 30 minutes or less, there's no excuse not to get out and experience nature the way it was intended to be. There are endless opportunities for hiking, boating, rafting, golfing or just plain old laying around in a hammock.

At the same time, historic Hendersonville & Flat Rock, NC are less than 20 minutes away, with great local culture, shops & restaurants. If bigger cities tick your boxes, the beautiful cities of Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC are a 35 minute drive, with amazing arts districts, shopping & restaurants.

Located within a small, gated community, guests will be provided with a private access code for hours when gates are closed.

This home has three separate family rooms, two movie theaters and sleeps 13 ... in luxury and tranquility.

Tucked away and practically invisible from the road, you take our mountain driveway to the top of the property, where a spacious 3 car garage provides easy access for your vehicle and luggage. There are also separate entrances to the home in the front (foyer and walkout basement) and in the rear patio.

Our fully equipped luxury kitchen boasts high end features that will make anyone who loves to cook happy, including a Wolf 6 burner gas stove, a double oven, a massive SubZero refrigerator and an oversized stainless steel farm sink. Two dishwashers keep the dishes clean and available. Also provided is a Keurig single cup coffee maker, in addition to a traditional 12 cup unit. Seating in the kitchen area includes a table for 8 and 6 bar stools. The dining room also has a table with seating for 8.

The main level family room has seating for 8-10 and is centered around the beautiful stone gas fireplace that feels just right on a cool mountain evening. (Fireplace functions from October-March yearly)

The main level office is a great place to get some work out of the way during your stay.

The master bedroom is massive and inviting, with a king sized Tempurpedic mattress, a seating area for two and access to the outdoors with a private balcony. The master bathroom is spa-like, with double sinks, a soaker tub, a large stone shower and large walk-in closet. Every bedroom has an HDTV and this one is no exception--a 55" unit.

The main level laundry room is large and functional with a large capacity front-loading washer & dryer.

The back patio is a great place to sit with your morning cup of coffee. You might just see a hummingbird or a wild turkey--every day is different! With seating for 8, this is a great gathering place--especially on warm summer nights. There is a propane powered infrared gas grill for your use as well.

For cooler evenings, enjoy a massive stone outdoor fireplace with matching stone benches. Making smores is absolutely necessary! In the fall & winter months, you can even see a waterfall across the valley from our home.

The second floor has three nicely decorated bedrooms--each a little different than the other. Two have queen beds and another has a king - each has an HDTV. In the king bedroom, you'll find a full sized bathroom with walk-in shower. The queen bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom, each with their own private sinks.

Also upstairs is a second large family room with seating for 8, including 4 reclining seats as well as a 55" HDTV. You'll also find a game table for playing cards.

If that's not enough seating for you on the second floor, find the hidden door to the six recliner movie theater, which has an 80" screen, fed by a high definition projector. Bring your game system or Apple TV - your kids will love it! Movie lovers won't want to leave!

The lower level of our home is just as accommodating as the main and upper floors. There is a large open entertaining area, with an 8' pool table, not to mention a second movie theater with an 80" screen and a HD projector. There is also an over-sized, round game table.

The 5th bedroom is located on the lower floor as well, with a king bed and its own HDTV. There is a full bathroom with shower attached to the bedroom and also open for general basement use.

The area surrounding our home is a nature lover's dream. Jones Gap State Park is 3 miles away, with spectacular hiking trails with three degrees of difficulty. Take the 4 mile medium difficulty to see one of the tallest waterfalls in South Carolina. The natural beauty along the way will amaze you.

Ingles grocery store in Flat Rock is only 20 minutes away, along with two organic grocery stores (Hendersonville Co-Op and Whole Foods).

Also less than a 20 minute drive are two incredible SC state parks: Caesars Head & Table Rock. Both have hiking trails and are tied to the SC Supertrail system. Whatever your skill level is, you will find these hidden gems inspiring.

Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee are 40 minutes to the west. Both of these lakes are among the finest in the US for water purity and are simply beautiful. The Lake Keowee Marina rents boats by the day or by the week. For fishing, Lake Jocassee is a sportsman's dream.

To the North, Lake Lure and the Saluda River offer boating and rafting, along with beaches and amenities to keep everyone in your family happy.

Flat Rock, the home of Carl Sandberg, is simply beautiful. There are numerous small shops and local restaurants, not to mention the Flat Rock Playhouse.

Historic Hendersonville is the perfect place to spend a day. Main Street boasts scores of specialty shops and restaurants. Hendersonville's nickname is "Mayberry" and you feel like you've been transported to another era when you visit. The Mast General Store is always a lot of fun to visit and when you are tired of walking around, there are numerous coffee shops, including a couple that offer live entertainment in the evenings. Hendersonville has many special events throughout the spring/summer/fall months as well.

20 minutes further to the north is Asheville, a mountain city which is the home of the Biltmore Estate. If you've never been to the Biltmore, take the tour which runs all day, every day. Asheville has a vibrant arts scene, with scores of breweries, wineries, restaurants and shops.

35 miles southwest of our home is the city of Greenville, SC, one of the fastest growing areas in the US. The downtown area is new, clean and full of energy. Take in a show at the Peace Center or simply have dinner at one of the many fine restaurants and take in the local atmosphere. Like Hendersonville, Greenville is clean and peaceful.
