A truly peaceful & heartwarming stay! Felt just like home: only better
Pros: Our stay in this beautiful home in S. Pedro de Moel was absolutely perfect. The house was spotless, peaceful, and so thoughtfully preparedâwe truly felt at home from the moment we arrived.
There was absolutely nothing we missed from home. Every detail was there: comfort, care, warmth, and everything we needed to feel fully settled and relaxed.
The surroundings were just as magicalâcalm, close to nature, and ideal for rest and restoration. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.
Itâs rare to find a space that holds such beauty and heart. Weâre deeply grateful and would return without hesitation. Highly recommended.
Cons: Honestly, there was nothing we didnât enjoyâeverything was thoughtfully prepared and exceeded our expectations.
We had a bad start in Lisbon because of not getting our rental car but Joana was very patient and waited for our arrival. She explained everything about the fantastic flat, well equipped with TVs, Netflix, kitchen and tailor made wooden interior. Then, she showed us around Sao Pedro on a short walk: The bakery Arco Iris with very tasty patisserie and the first coffee on the cliff edge opens at 8, where the two mini-supermarkets are, 50 years of excellent burgers and drinks at Rosi's pub, the best restaurants and the tent at the beach, belonging to the flat. This was really good to get a rest from the burning sun (sometimes UV-index 10). Joana explained the swimming rules at the surveyed city beach: Best time is around low tide, when the waves break at a sandbank great for surfing!), leading to some 50 m of calm water for easy swimming. North and south of the city beach are further, less frequented beaches and Agua de Madeiros (30min walk) even had a shallow natural pool for little kids framed by impressive cliffs. My cousin and her kid visited us 5 for 3 days, which was no problem, neither in space nor for Joana. We liked Sao Pedro and the flat very much, it's really a nice place - thank you, Joanna!
