Nice and quiet!

The cabin is clean and off the road a bit so it’s nice and quiet and dark, just as we wanted. Owner left a snack basket for us which was a nice touch. Only surprise was that the Master BR was on the second floor and the bathroom upstairs didn’t have a bath or shower in it. Not that big of a big deal, but worth noting. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Yosemite vacation

WOW...Mariposa and Yosemite in sunset + SNOW
Publié le 18 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were blown away by the beauty of God's creation and the incredible setting on this property and the idyllic log cabin yet modern feel. If you want boring corporate straight lines and not timber, fireplaces, telescopes, river, mountain sunrises and sunsets please stay away and leave this property for the rest of us. if I didn't live in Australia I'd be back next year. Since I can't it's wide open for a March- April stay. The property is identical to photos but what you can;t properly appreciate is the setting nestled in a valley, river below, sunrises over one hill behind the property, sunsets over another in front.
It's the one place on our 15 day California USA trip we would have loved to have added a rest day into to just hang around on site.
I loved Yosemite in 1985 in the summer...but I was enchanted by both Yosemite and this Bear Valley/Mariposa region in late winter/early spring. Bucket list ticked...but I want more...
PS Site manger Troy was great. Do yourself a favor and get to know at least one local...it's worth it...they're worth it.

Great and Cozy Stay
Publié le 23 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat and very well built cabin in a nice location. A lot of room on the property to walk around. Went during Spring where the weather was perfect in the location. About an hour drive to Yosemite.10 minutes to a grocery store and gas station if needed.
Owner is friendly and responsive when we called. Information provided by him were detailed where no further question were needed to be asked during our stay.
Would recommend to stay here.

Amazing Location with a Very Warm and Cozy Atmosphere
Publié le 13 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved everything about this place. The cottage was very cozy, but still big enough to not feel suffocated. The outside was lovely and a joy to explore. Really enjoyed the telescope as well. Proximity to Yosemite was also pretty great, took us a litlte under an hour to get there. I'm keeping this property as one of my favorites because I'll definitely be returning.

Wonderfully quiet

We can certainly resolve any issues with the house during your stay but unfortunately we can't change the weather. That is beyond our control.

Our 2nd time here
Publié le 24 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were here last year but rented the smaller cabin. This year, we rented the bigger cabin and as always, it was the best birthday celebration I can ask for. It's a very quiet area with the only noises are cows and frogs. It has every amenity that we can ask for and best of all, we were able to have our Josie with us to enjoy the cabin. This is a hidden gem!

Wish our stay was longer

Well-furnished Cabin in a Quiet Area with Great Views
Publié le 2 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayI spent Christmas week with my family and enjoyed the stay. All features were available as listed, and the cabin was very well-maintained. Views from the cabin were spectacular, offering serenity and moments for reflection. The host was very responsive throughout the stay. The location is within an hour drive to Yosemite National Park, so we enjoyed multiple visits there. I highly recommend the cabin.
Though not excessive, the livingroom area was bit chilly outside gas-powered heater's operational hours due to central heater's max temperature limit.

Thanks for leaving a great review! The central furnace is available to heat the home 24 hours. The central furnace maximum setpoint temperature is around 80 degrees and temperature is controlled via touchscreen thermostat on the wall. We will take a look at the thermostat to see if it needs adjustment.
