Short Stay
Publié le 24 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayRustic, huge place, well appointed. Plenty of room for 3 adult couples or a huge family. Beds were comfortable. Could use some better pillows, but they we not bad. House is very close to the main highway, so lots of road noise well into the evening. This is a very wild area, in terms of outdoors. That said, the outside area around the home is poorly manicured, though that didn't stop us from enjoying it and the beautiful crystal-clear stream running thru the back area. The place is about a 5-minute drive back to Mariposa, that has plenty of cool dining options. It's about an hour drive to Yosemite Valley, mostly along the Merced River, which is amazing. In general, we felt we made a good choice staying here and would stay again.

Family trip to Yosemite

We never figured out the drip coffee maker, but the keurig filled in and was well stocked. Washer and dryer were also handy. It was great to have a large dining room table we could all eat at comfortably.

Wonderful Cabin!

They "forgot" to check out on the designated date and the hosts were wonderful about accommodating them and making sure they got to their next destination. They loved the roomy, clean and cozy cabin which was well located for their Yosemite adventures. This cabin made all the difference in how they enjoyed the park. It was world's apart from staying in a hotel room.

Great charming Cabin. Very clean. Nice hosts. Comfortable beds. Do not rely on GPS. The only issue is GPS took us off-road to boonies… the marker is Wrong on Google, Apple, Waze and Tesla nav. Just look for the sign and you won’t miss it.

Yosemite Family Vacation
Publié le 12 août 2023 sur HomeAwayOverall, the space met the needs of 2 families of 4. It was clean, and mostly what we expected. Though the refrigerator was able to eventually keep an adequate temperature, getting in/out of it too much caused the temp to increase quickly so we were quite concerned the first night after unloading our groceries. We contacted the property owner who responded very quickly, and is aware the refrigerator needs serviced. Unfortunately, there was little to be done during our stay, but to try and limit opening/closing it often. The freezer worked fine.
Overall we had a great vacation and upon confirming the fridge has been serviced, I would stay at the property again.

Perfect place to enjoy Yosemite and the surrounding area!
Publié le 14 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayFinding a comfortable place for a family of 7 is no easy task. This house fit the bill just perfectly! The kitchen had everything we could have needed. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Because of summer traffic, it took about an hour to get to the Arch Rock entrance of Yosemite, but the ride along the Merced River was a beautiful part of the journey. It was also nice to be so close to Mariposa. The house is listed as 3 bedroom, but there is a door between the two spaces in the loft which makes it feel like a 4 bedroom. Just be sure that the people sleeping in the loft are okay with coming downstairs to use the bathroom. It wasn’t a problem for us at all. Communication with the owner was pleasant and all messages were answered quickly. Highly recommended!
