I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu and unfortunately my experience did not meet expectations.
At check-in, the staff member was not the friendliest, which set the tone for the stay. I had booked this room two months in advance and specifically requested that it be decorated to surprise my fiancé for his birthday. To my disappointment, nothing had been arranged upon arrival.
After submitting feedback 24 hours later, I was approached by the same staff member while I was leaving the property in the elevator. At that point, it felt too late and more like an attempt to address the situation because of my feedback rather than a proactive effort to make things right.
While discussing the matter with another staff member, he was extremely obnoxious and did not follow up on what he had committed to. The lack of ownership and follow-through was frustrating.
On our last day, we finally spoke with the property manager, who did arrange something special in the room. I genuinely appreciate his apology and his effort to rectify the situation created by his team.
The room itself was clean, but it definitely felt lived in, with noticeable wear and tear. Overall, I’m not sure this experience lived up to the 5-star standard I’m accustomed to.
