This was basic accommodation with no frills. Ideal if you are just looking for something very basic to sleep and spending the evening in. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival. The kitchen had everything if you wanted to self cater for yourselves. The only person I spoke to during my stay was a stable hand. I never meet the owner. I would be happy to stay here in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Peak District. We only had a weekend so it was more of a taster visit, but we had a really good time, loved Cromford, Bakewell and Matlock and a visit to the country park in Buxton. There was so much more to do & see. We loved the location of the cottage but we could have done with better and clearer instructions on where to park on arrival, we were asked to move after we arrived but didnât know where we supposed to be! Also, future visitors need to be aware that they will have to bring all supplies with them as there is nothing provided - not even salt & pepper! There was however, a bottle of wine.
Really enjoyed our short break in owl cottage, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, The owner met us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome!! We absolutely love Derbyshire and next time will definitely be stopping longer. đđ
