Rooms smelled very bad!
After reading the reviews I was looking forward to this stay however I was in shock with how different it was. The smell of our princess suite was awful, absolutely damp and the bathroom was the worst. A very very strong smell of sewage and body odour. We found it really uncomfortable to sleep in but the kids bunk beds were the nicest bit. They enjoyed themselves so I would say this is not worth the money at all
The room was spacious and clean. And had a outside area. The fridge could be a bit bigger though.

Great location
Amazing location. Quirky hotel but the cleanliness in our room was abysmal. Didn't stay for food as we went down into Matlock Bath which was in walking distance. The staff deserve full praise, they were really nice and attentive.
Was a lovely little room. Clean and cozy.
Down points are that room was too hot with no means to cool it down and no spoons or stirrers to make the drinks.
Would deffo recommend but if your like me and get hot too quick then ask for a room with aircon.
Great stay and great staff, couldn't recommend this site more!! Appreciate that staffs kind, caring and loving nature towards their guest. I'll definitely look at coming back again.
Great little place for a night away with kids, basic but comfortable.
The thing we loved was the little courtyard with plenty of tabkes and chairs outside the cabins where you could see your child playing on the play equipment whilst chilling.
Only stayed in the basic cabin and didnt upgrade to the princess rooms but from what we could see, it was a much better set up in these to be able to keep a close watch on you child.
Made it a relaxing stay and would defo use again.
Booked to stay for 2 nights but checked out after the 1st night. The room was damp, dirty and smelt. Even tried to air the room out with opening the window. The description of the room said that it was sound proof which is not the case as we were woke up at 7am by children kicking a ball against our door.
The staff member that checked us in was very helpful and friendly and same with the staff member the checked us out.
Would not stay again.
Stayed in a pirate room and the theme was great and everything was decorated brilliantly. Plenty of storage space, small but sufficient room with great space saving and fun bunks for kids. Only issue was the cleanliness. There was food crumbs on the kids room ladder, sweet wrappers down the side of the shelf and chewing gum stuck to the lamp. That put a bit of a negative spin on it but if it had been cleaned properly then it's a great place to stay.
Had a call day before to ask what time we was checking in and give us useful information about the area and what to do. Lady at check in was super nice gave us more tips on the area. Room was warm and clean when arrived. Had kettle and microwave and a mini fridge, no cutlery or plates but that was fine with us. If walking down to the town, it is a very steep hill and takes 15 minutes for the unfit lol. Overall good stay and would stay again.
