This place is a bit different to the chain hotels that I usually stay in, but in a good way. I stayed in a 'Japanese style' room, which was very spacious with a comfortable futon. The bathroom was a 'wet room' style, with a deep bath and a shower area next to it, onsen-style. The kitchen area has a single induction hob, which is really just to use with the kettle so don't plan on doing any cooking (I wasn't planning on it, so no problem there). Note that it is a shoes-off property - slippers are supplied at reception. I really liked this stay and will definitely look it up again if I come back to Matsuyama.

A physically uncomfortable experience

There were no face towels. Even if I needed to pay more for it, I wish the hotel had coffee either in the room or lobby. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. They were more like cots without springs or with bad springs than actual beds. The pillows were too hard and thick so I couldnโ€™t use them.

Perfectly located next to dogo park and the onsen. Its a former older peoples home thay really hasnt been changed much from the previous use. After the initial oh its an old folks home, it is actually a really nice play to stay, well equipped and clean.

because we missed our flight, we weren't able to stay in the hotel overnight. but the owner and staff were kind enough to let us use our reserved room's shower and amenities before we moved on with our trip. very spacious room that even comes with a stove! highly recommend!
