Apache Green takes a cue from the natural surroundings of Deep Creek to offer a tranquil vacation experience for all! Nestled against the quiet of the woods, this home is ready to host the whole family for a restful and relaxing Deep Creek vacation. Noteworthy features of this charming home include an array of coveted amenities including a modern kitchen with a Keurig coffee machine, open layout, and large native stone fireplace, in addition to floor-to-ceiling windows and towering cathedral ceilings. Don't worry about packing the crates for your dog! There are two in the home waiting for you. Apache Green always offers a wonderful experience!

Lake Access and private dock are located down across Rock Lodge Road. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The house was very clean but needs to update the living room couch as it’s not very comfortable. But very cozy room. It was wonderful having a Christmas tree available and some lights were up which was so nice. I’m a big cook and the kitchen had everything you could think of which was amazing. We brought my son’s dog and it was so nice having treats set out for her and the fenced in yard was a huge plus. The hot tub and sauna were perfectly hot and we had a great time playing pool. Great location to slopes and stores. Highly recommend for your next family and friends gathering.

Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable furniture. Nice wood burning fireplace. Google maps brings you up a wicked hill, however there is an easier way. Loved our stay and hope to make Apache Green our yearly destination from here on out.

House was nice. For the price tho could have been cleaner. Broken glass on counter. Found an old baby bottle moldy in a dress. Stove had some dirt on it, grill had Chunks of food on it And would only light by match. Hot tub was cloudy and only 1 pump barely worked so not really worked as a hot tub. Deck and deck furniture could have clean blow off and cleaned. Gutter are clog so water pour down at sliding door and yard could use some attention. Over all nice place but for the money could use some work

Family Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Apache Green. I loved that each bedroom had a queen or bigger bed and plenty of bathrooms. Even though it rained all weekend we had plenty to do in the house and we're comfortable. Definitely need to bring your own soap, trash bags and toilet paper but they do say that in the email. Raileys was very communicative, even when the power went out on the night we were to arrive. Be weary of the bear bin. We locked it and bears still got in and we had to pick up trash after they tipped the box and got in.

Perfect for us

Apache Green is a great house and was perfect for our family group’s vacation. We loved the four bedrooms and each had it’s own bathroom (nearby if not connected). The hot tub and sauna both were highly used. The lovely balconies were utilized our one sunny day there. The variety of tv streaming options kept everyone happy. The one mechanical issue we had was addressed quickly by Railey. Overall we had a lovely, relaxing time and the cold, rainy weather did not matter at all because we had such a nice place to hang out.

Beautiful area to get away from it all

The Deep Creek area is a beautiful area to take the family. The home is in a very quiet area of the lake, making it perfect for relaxing. The home is spacious with enough room for the 6 of us and the dogs. The outside needs repairs to the deck and stairs, but it was very relaxing to lay out in the hammock and enjoy the serenity of the wooded area surrounding the home.

Spacious and Comfortable

Except for the lack of trash removal before we arrived (which made it difficult to add more trash to the already full outdoor bins) everything was as we expected. The lake access with 2 docks is a 5 minute walk down a very steep hill, so not ideal with small children, and there is no sandy beach at the docks, in case that is important to you. We liked being farther away from the lake, as it can be noisy at times with all the motorized boats.

Good but not great

We had a wonderful time and the house was the right size and in a good location. The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed, there were different areas to hang out, play games (including a pool table) and relax. There is access to the lake but since we were there before the Summer season, we didn't use the dock - Its a short walk down the hill and across the road but it would be fine I think. The outside is in need of some maintenance, the deck wasn't in great shape and the appearance of the property was tired and unkempt. It was great for pets with a fenced yard but it was evident that pets had stayed there as there were odors and carpet stains throughout.

Slightly disappointed in the house

Outside is literally falling apart. The steps are treacherous, the fence is falling apart - not good for the dog, the gate latches were old and rusty. The porch furniture is falling apart, you can fall right through the couch. The cushions are kept in a plastic container where rain water gets in, so all were wet and unusable. The screen door off the dining room was ripped and the dog got out. The hot tub's jets only worked on one side. The lock on basement door was almost impossible to lock. Inside the basement bedroom had water stains on the ceiling. The steps going up to main floor were very dusty. And we saw many, many mice running throughout the house. Someone from Railey came to change the lock and we told him about all the mice and he sent someone back with traps. On the positive side, the kitchen was great, the beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were also very clean. Related to all of the issues, we will not be back.

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home!! I didn't give a 5 star solely for several things- half of the outlets didn't work & there were some wide gaps in the fencing that allowed our dachshunds to get out. The view was stunning, which was so fun to look out at from the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub & sauana. I doubt we'll stay here again solely because it was a bit big for our small family. Would still recommend!!

Nice and close to Wisp

Renting this property was pretty simple through VRBO. Check in and check out was extremely easy. Had to reach out in the beginning and spoke with CSR and she was very helpful. The house is nice and close to Wisp for those who want to ski as well as a small grocery store and other places if interest. I chose this house because the 4th bedroom didn’t have bunks and had a queen bed instead. It’s difficult to find that 4th bedroom with anything but bunks. Not everyone needs or wants bunk beds. The house also had a view of Deep Creek lake. May not be as good in the summer though, once the trees bloom.

A perfect week with family

This house was so perfect for our family, including our two dogs. There are plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and things to do. Half of us went skiing/snowboarding while the other half stayed in and did puzzles that we found in the game cabinet. At only a 3 hour job from the DC suburbs, my husband and I stayed all week and our kids drove up when they could. One of my sons was even able to work from the house and didn't have to use vacation days! Love this property!!

40th family retreat

This property was perfect for a COVID-safe (adult) family weekend retreat to celebrate my 40th Birthday. The property was well represented on the listing and clean and beautiful. Plenty of space for the 6 of us! It snowed heavily that weekend so we got a lovely view and made a cozy fire in the living room for games day. We used the hot tub and pool Table and had a wonderful time laughing and realxing at this scenic property. Would love to come back in the summer sometime to get a different view. Thanks to the propert hosts for providing a great rental space to making my 40th birthday special during this difficult year.

Awesome week at this property

Overall our trip was so relaxing and fun. A couple little issues such as not enough kitchenware to cook all the meals we wanted. It also took us a while to figure out how to turn on one of the showers downstairs and the jetted tub in the master sweet. The door locks can be confusing also.
