Great location for your autumn getaway!!


Looking for the perfect location for your anniversary getaway? Wanting a break from hectic work schedules? Check out our 1 bedroom/1 bath cabin! There is no Wi-Fi or tv at the cabin so you can enjoy your quiet time undisturbed by normal distractions. Our cabin is located in a quiet woods on a little gravel road but is within 15 minutes of restaurants, medical care, and local attractions and has good cell service.
This micro-cabin is yours to enjoy. Let us tell you about how it came to be. Our family has purchased and resold several properties. We were demolishing the old single wide trailer that stood among the giant poplar, cherry, sycamore and oak trees, and the oftener we came to work here, the less we wanted to sell it.
The gravel Towpath road was just that - the path that the horses and mules trod while pulling barges up and down this section of the Erie canal system. Upon entering our driveway you drive through the now-empty canal depression.
This place is private. No neighbors in sight. It may be uncomfortably quiet for some of our urban guests. But we suggest you try it. Our goal is to supply a spot where stressed and weary travelers can turn in and rest. No Wifi. We recommend you go on a technology fast while you rest.
We also hope our sweet solitude will help couples get first things first and build healthy relationships. The quiet helps us think straight.
Now for the actual cabin. The timbers were sawed at a local hemlock mill. The exterior is made of boards we had milled from old pines along 322 HWY. Even the actual stones we layed for the fireplace once splashed in a local stream. We had quite a family adventure choosing the right ones. And back to history. . . you need to check out the fossils in these rocks. The hemlock ladder leading to the attic bedroom may prove difficult for some guests, so please be advised the reclining loveseat may need to suffice if you don't dare the ladder.
In summary, this is a get-away. Not your big-town commercial resort attraction. You are welcome!

Perfect lil getaway

This was the first time my husband and I used this app, and we are happy that we choose this place to try first. Seriously, all the other reviews are spot on. The cabin was so clean and prestine, it rained a bit so we didn't try the hot tub, but it also looked nice. Sitting on the porch and watching the thunderstorm the first night. We really needed a break from city life, and this was just perfect.

Quiet getaway

I booked this solo trip to get away from the day to day noise and what a perfect place to do that. The cabin is located in a very quiet area in the woods but not too far away from shopping/restaurants. The cabin is well appointed and very private and quiet which is what I wanted and what I was looking for.

A Treasure in the Woods

For us the cabin was perfect. The location is private and beautiful. We loved the decor, the powered recliners sitting in front of the wonderful electronic fireplace, the secluded hot tub, the cozy loft bedroom. The ladder/stairs to the loft aren’t for everyone. No WiFi…bring a book! Good cell service though. I wish that we had time to have a fire in the fire pit. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee. Just lovely!

Just wanted to say this place was just so beautiful, quiet, and pristine! Got married and had wedding photos taken here around the cabin because our venue had cornstalks growing up all over! Quaint Quiet Hideaway!

This cabin is a small, secluded gem for a nice getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub on an overcast day and it was perfect. There was a small check in issue at the beginning, but Heidi came to the rescue within minutes. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. A note for future guests: the ladder is steep to the bed so be careful. And bring some bottled water if you’re not used to well water. We also grilled out for dinner and listened to the rain on the roof. I think one car drove by all day, so it’s very peaceful. Highly recommend for a couples retreat.

Pure Peace!

The road to this property is beautiful, the yard and exterior of property is clean and well kept. When we opened the door it smelled so fresh and clean- we were amazed at every detail this cabin had to offer! Wood work like you wouldn’t believe, a note from the host and fresh baked bread, free (new) samples in the bathroom which came in handy as we forgot mens deodorant. The hot tub behind the cabin is private and also well kept. I think our favorite part though was enjoying coffee on the front porch in the couples rocking chair and listening to the birds and sounds of nature. Pure Peace! We saved this listing and plan to return again in the winter

Nice bit of solitude

We enjoyed staying at this place. Location is very quiet -- can't hear much of anything but the birds. Cabin is very well thought out -- timber frame construction is interesting. The Falling run trail near by is a nice hike. Highly recommend!

Beautiful little cottage!

Had such a relaxing weekend in this adorable cottage on a quiet lane. Had everything we could have wanted including a nice coffee service and a treat from the hosts. Good communication with host and the place was spotless. Drove into Meadville for dinner at Julian's; definitely reccomend. Can't wait to return!

Cozy & Quiet Getaway

It is clear that our hosts have taken great care to provide a getaway that is cozy, quiet, and clean. The cabin felt not only fresh, but also carefully decorated and supplied. While it took us a few minutes to determine how to get the cabin up to a comfortable temperature (some quick instructions for newbie gas fire users would be great!) we found ourselves very much at home, making dinner, reading on the couch, and sleeping in late. We plan on booking again the next time we need a quick getaway!
