We asked for one thing. A room on the first floor. My wife has a bad knee. She needs a full knee replacement and weâre waiting for the surgery. On arrival the manager Bob said they had no 1st floor rooms available. Bob complained that people using Hotels.com are getting a discount but heâs not making as much money. He doesnât want people using it. So the room we were given was upstairs ( no elevator) and as far from the stairs as possible. The room had an overwhelming smell of an Airwick freshener that gave me a headache. So strong you could taste it.
It happened to be raining. There was no tv remote so it was quiet. We could hear a dripping in the ceiling and could see a patch. Bobâs wife told us to put a bucket under it. I asked for a new room. Still said no 1st floor available. Second room had same smell. I looked late at night and at 5:00 am, there were at least 15 vacant rooms on the first floor.
Donât book this place through Hotels.com. Bob and his wife will treat you like Shxt and smile in your face while doing so. They have a strong bias against anyone using this website to book with them. I will never go back to this place.
The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and air quality in the room was good. There was a lot of work put into making it a very lovely and hospitable room, with very lovely flooring, furniture and textiles. It was also very affordable on a Friday night, which I am extremely grateful for. It was also very quiet. The staff (owners, I think) were very friendly.
It would be a solid 10/10 except for the shower head was frozen on a setting like a power-washer, and the shower curtain plastic was partially melted. Between the two, I had to mop the bathroom when I was done and was rather grumpy. I highly recommend replacing the shower head and curtain.
Check-in was extremely quick. The room was large and comfortable and well kept. I had a good nightâs stay. My only complaint is that I found long black hairs on the bathroom vanity and bathroom floor which means they werenât cleaned very well. Would have been five Star if not for that.
When I arrived, I noticed the property includes an RV park with long-term residents. Most people were outside smoking and talking, which isnât necessarily bad, but it didnât feel like the motel experience I expected.
The room had a plug-in air freshener that smelled nice, but it was clearly masking a strong urine and smoke odor. The shower was broken and couldnât be adjusted for warm or cold water, and the bathroom itself was dirty.
Overall, the atmosphere was uncomfortable with people hanging around outside. Iâm not sure who is writing the positive reviews, but I would not recommend staying here.
I have used this motel every time I come to Phoenix for many years. It is clean, comfortable, has a nice pool, and the breakfast room is appreciated. The office management is friendly and helpful.
Was not able to use the reservation and was refused a refund. I was tired from driving all day from Marysville, about an hour north of Seattle, and decided to stop earlier in Roseburg to avoid having an accident
The temperature was close to 100 degrees. I told the desk clerk that the ice machine wasn't working. He said it was likely because someone used too much and to try again later. When he accurately read my dissatisfaction at that response, he offered chunk of ice from the kitchen. One large chunk - maybe 2 cups? - that wouldn't fit into a water bottle. When i tried again later, it was very frustrating to have the young woman at the desk just shrug when i told her that the ice machine still wasn't working. She said it would probably take a week to get it repaired. Not great customer service.
Also, we needed to get on the road early and at 6:30am, the front desk was locked up so we couldn't return the keys - or get any of the 'promoted' breakfast. Will not recommend this to others.
