The hotel itself is clean but is a bit older and aesthetically not maintained the best. The breakfast is pretty much all bread. That being said it was quiet and the staff member that took care of us went above and beyond, Sawyer made this place worth staying at.

The place is a budget Motel, however, the rooms are roomy and clean. The swimming pool was nice. The location is perfect about half a mile from downtown Ashland. The breakfast is quite limited to packed food foods

I arrived around 10:45pm. Office was closed. Called number left on door and was let in to office. He said very little, as he was still waking up, then handed me the room key. I went to room but it kept blinking red and I could hear TV on inside. I went back to office and called to be let inagain. The attendant gave me another room, and that one also had someone in it. Third room key didnt work either, and had to be replaced. Took no accountability.

For the cost I thought it was a very good value. They could improve the breakfast however I could see how it would be unrealistic to make eggs and sausages every morning if they don't have enough guests. Everything had either dairy or gluten in it unfortunately other than the apples and bananas. I would love to see them add a streaming service to the TV instead of just cable. Staff was very nice. I would definitely book again for the price.
