Tucked just outside Medicine Park, this cozy retreat offers quick access to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, hiking trails, and mountain biking—perfect for a peaceful getaway with plenty to explore nearby.

Local Update: The Medicine Park dam is currently undergoing repairs, which is affecting water levels in the Gondola area directly in front of the home. Other nearby areas, including Bath Lake and Lake Lawtonka, are not affected. Guests continue to enjoy the quiet setting, outdoor access, and proximity to the Refuge just minutes away. Feel free to reach out if you’d like current details on the area.

We had a great little overnight getaway at Harper's Landing! The property is right next to the entrance of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, so we were able to access hiking trails with ease. Tim and Sondra were very kind and welcoming hosts, and their sweet pups gave us a warm welcome too! The kitchen and rooms were well-stocked and the screen-in porch on the back side of the property was perfect for morning coffee. Highly recommend!

It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was super cozy and warm. The fireplace was wonderful on the cold days! The bed was very comfy and the shower large enough for two. It was also very nicely decorated.

No water view this time, but not the fault of the owner. Dam is being repaired. But the house was fabulous. We've stayed at rentals across the country, and this is the best supplied and furnished house. Everything and more that you might need. Will be back when the dam is complete so we can fish from the dock.
