We had a wonderful experience staying at the Hart House Hotel in Medina, NY. The hotel has been beautifully renovated — it perfectly blends modern comfort with the charm and character of an historic building. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the attention to detail really showed. We loved the on-site coffee house and bar — both served excellent drinks — and lunch at the Shirt Factory Café was delicious. The location couldn’t be better, with everything in town within easy walking distance. We enjoyed exploring the Medina Falls, strolling along the Erie Canal, and visiting the unique shops and restaurants on Main Street. The town itself is clean, well-cared for, and feels completely safe to wander. Hart House Hotel and Medina together made for a relaxing, memorable getaway — we’ll definitely be back!

We loved the quirky Hart Hotel where industrial heritage has been transformed into very comfortable and attractive rooms with very thoughtful extras like lots of USB sockets. After an evening meal elsewhere we returned and had excellent cocktails in the bar, enjoying the ambiance and having a chat with the knowledgeable bar tender.

Room was very clean. Cleaning staff were very gracious and accommodating. Coffee pot did not work. Could not poke hole in coffee capsules so water spilled out. After cleaning up we poked a hole in the capsule manually and it sort of worked. Minor glitch really.

Lovely Hotel

It was a short stay but the hotel had everything we needed and a great night sleep as well. Comfort was definitely top of the list. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for long or short stay.

Hart Hotel was perfect. Medina was charming, people very friendly. You just go to your room with the code that is texted to you. Our room was a studio with small kitchen area. Hotel is convenient to the Erie Canal and we stored our bikes inside. The Newell bar in the lobby was very inviting and the employees very pleasant.

This place is a gem. The rooms are spacious and there are dining options downstairs. The beds were very comfortable, the digital check in process was very easy to complete and the room amenities were superb. We walked the downtown area and found good dining options available.

We enjoyed our stay at Hart House —our second— after a hot day riding the canal path. The room, Unit 3, was welcoming and small but cozy with excellent air conditioning and a spacious and clean shower with wonderful amenities. A very short walk to Medina’s best dining. Comfy bed, we slept great. We enjoy staying here after our annual trek home from the Shaw Festival. There is a little street noise but it quieted after 10 pm which was fine. Love that the in-room coffee is an excellent quality.
