Room itself was quite small, carpet was old and well used. Although the hotel is trying to be environmentally good we opted for our room to be cleaned daily which was fine but our coffee etc was never topped up. As we booked through Expedia our room looked into a noisy hi raise construction site (pool room view) which we had to keep our curtains permanently closed due to workmen being able to look in our room. Hotel was not busy and could have put us in a Yarra river view room away from construction site.

Wr only stayed one night so didn't get to try all facilities. Loved the views and beds were comfortable. A little bit of construction out front but didn't impact our stay. We would come back and stay again.

Comfy and convenient

We had a really nice stay. Our room was modern with a very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The buffet breakfast had a wonderful selection to choose from. We went to see a show at The Palms at Crown so very conveniently located. Heaps of dining options nearby too.

We had a pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza. We opted for river facing room and the view was amazing. The rooms were spacious, however, bathrooms did not have a door lock which was a bit inconvenient with the kids. The other major negative point was the pool. Although it was a rooftop pool and advertised at 28°C temperature was maintained. However, when I tried to swim, the temperature was extremely cold, I could barely take a dip and the kids just stayed out. This happened for two days and thus was not able to utilize this . To mention , enjoyed the pool in other hotel stays across Melbourne which were properly maintained at 28°C.

The Crowne Plaza staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent. Great dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dive bar has a great vibe and good for starters before heading out in Melbourne.

We like that it was close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The staff was friendly. Our room was very small and not what I think we originally booked, but it worked since we were only there for a few days.

Great hotel with super staff and excellent breakfast. Bar was closed for private function on the one night we wanted to eat there and restaurant very expensive. Room cleaning was a little slack on one morning and no replenishment of tea and sugar or clean glasses and cups. Great for transport and river precinct. Need a smoking area outside for us lepers who still indulge and pool should be heated or inside or it is unusable for half the year. Would stay again for the convenience
