Great location; great service.

We were disappointed with the size and lack of comfort for two people in our room. There was only one chair, so not ideal for sitting to watch TV or read; bathroom offered almost no privacy; the only useful storage was one drawer each; the iron could only just be reached without climbing on a chair. The plus side: great location; mostly quiet; fabulous breakfast!!!! Restaurants were expensive compared to average Melbourne prices. Service was excellent.

For the decades this is first time front reception telling me I never did in my life- ordered something thing to the spa , I do not know where is the spa, then someone took speakers from the room, I have not seen them from the entrance to the hotel, I am 66 , and a Doctor, this is abusing I would never back to this hotel I am really disappointed

Underwhelming

We stayed at the Intercontinental Sorrento for two nights and were initially told over the phone that we’d receive an upgrade, but upon arrival, we were given the room we originally booked. The Alfredo/patio area was spacious, but with only one chair facing a fence, it felt poorly designed. For $500+ per night, the room and breakfast options were underwhelming. The limited breakfast selection and average food quality did not justify the price. Additionally, the toilet flush button kept falling into the toilet, and while wine glasses were provided, there was no bottle opener in the room—small details that made the stay feel less refined than expected. On top of that, the curtain didn’t close completely, allowing a lot of light in and disrupting sleep, and the air conditioning vent was putrid. Overall, the experience did not meet the premium standard we anticipated
