Overall the stay was good. Room was a bit cold early evening, but our overnight sleep was too hot as the quilt tended to cocoon our body.
The surrounding areas were excellent for walks and not to mention the food as it was beautiful
We have stayed here several times and enjoyed the location. We feel that the rooms are ready for updating - the staff on duty were all young men who looked as if they had worked all weekend without a break ! It wasnât as welcoming as it had been in the past. We were also disappointed with our evening meal.
Lovely grand old building. Rooms were decent. Shower is rubbish could do with investing in more modern showers.
Breakfast was good and the bar was well stocked.
Good place to stay to visit the borders
A beautiful, comfortable clean space with excellent, helpful friendly staff. The hotel is set in beautiful countryside where the river Tweed runs at the bottom of the garden and the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey next door. There are walks to suit all straight from the front door.
We had a lovely one night stay, the place and grounds right by the abbey are beautiful.
I was especially impressed and grateful to their wonderful staff who found my lost wedding ring and got it forwarded on to me đ
